Custom firmware update: PSP 3.80 M33-2 now out |

The first update for 3.80 M33, Dark AleX's latest custom PSP firmware, has been released. This update fixes a couple of issues:- Function scePowerGetClockFrequency/scePowerGetClockFrequencyInt was not resolved properly due to a confussion between the two nids applying to the same function. Fixed, this update is necessary for plugins and kernel homebrew reporting psp cpu speed.
- PSX EBOOT.PBP that have a icon of 80x80 pixels will not be replaced by Dracula icon in savedata.
In 3.80 pops, Sony has introduced a bug that causes a crash when the icon of the pbp is not 80x80, like those of psstore. To resolve the issue, M33 was replacing the icon in ram by the one with Dracuala image, what caused the side effect of ps1 save games having Dracula icon.
As the readme file takes note: to get this running, you're required to install 3.80 M33 first. Be reminded that you can also get the 3.80 M33-2 update via Network Update if you already have 3.80 M33 running on your PSP. As usual, refer to the readme file included in the download for installation instructions as well as more info.

Im not gonna download 3.80 M33 until it get complete with all the bugs and with psx support and 1.50 support and them.. I like 3.71 m33-4 and i gonna keep it until next update comes :P But DaX Your the man! Your PSP God keep it goin

Ok I did everything what the r5eadme said! Everything fine ok, but... When I run the CFW 3.80 M33 installer on my psp checks everything fine the eboot and the u235 blaha blah! Fine then the sce updater is going to start but, it says [ ]PSP Update ver 3.80 ________________________________________________ The system configuration of this PSP system does not apear to be correct. iv tryed a bunch of ps1 games on my psp and so far resident evil 2,3 crash at the start of the game and final fantasy 8,9 dnt work!!! this is really crap man most of my games dnt work anymore does anyone know how this can b fixed coz they all worked fine when i was on 3.52m33-4 but when i tryed out 3.71m33-4 thts when all my games stopped working i thot it was j the firmware but its doing the same thing with 3.80m33 plz help me coz this is a huge problem thnx in advance!
thats why im still on 3.52 M33-4 and i plan on staying there until i have to update for new umd's, or until this one works as good or better
hi, just create a folder and name it GAME380, then move all your files or emulators in there and that's it, tt works for me!!!!

like i said in the subject I was playing Final Fantasy 7 on 3.80 m33-2 and it just crashes crazy colored lines everywhere anone have this problem too??? i hope im not the only one
does HEN Core mean that homebrew can now be run on the slim? HEN stands for Homebrew Enabler rite...so is it as good as a 1.5 kernel?

Installing the update couldn't be easier with the network update! :) Thanks to M33 Team, CFW is soo much better than OFW! 3.80 m33 and updates are all stable, iso games works perfectly, as well as homebrew applications like PSPTube and etc. Just sit tight and wait for more M33 updates!
there sud be an update on that coming real soon... but prx works perfectly. damn sony's been altering codes, to increase security level.. but homebrew still manged it :)

There is no reason at all to stick with 3.52. 3.71 m33-4 with the pops update will run every single pops version there is, plus multi disk game support and whatever else was added to the official firmware. you can also add the 3.80 radio thing to it if you feel so inclined

why am I hearing that the .prx's are working perfect when I can't even get music.prx, mp3module.prx, cxmb.prx to work??

tried to continue my game of FFVII on 3.80 m33-2 and it crashes when you enter battle with colored lines, locks up, and then the psp shuts off

Thanx updated to 3.80 M33..remote play works great with PS3 just some problem with its speed. Internet radio works great but Psp radio seems just fine.. Visualization wit muic player ...2 of them are not working right I guess. All my pmp players PPA, PMPAVC are not working Pplyer MT doesn't work also. I'm not customizing my themes just yet..Lat update My psp bricked and thank GOD for Pandora thanks alot. Anyone has similar problems? Or do I just need to wait for 1.5 kernel? Cheers Thanks M33
Hi, I have a phat and slim with 3.80 m33-2. I'd like to go back to 3.71m33-4 for my phatty (some fav homebrew not working yet, waiting for 1.50 kernel add-on) i tried making pandora and magic memorystick (using despertar cementario and the ospbtv5), but no real luck there (i tested on the slim which is now semi-bricked, battery worked, i think the despertar cementario is not working correctly) any ideas for a phattie downgrade? or do i just wait for the 1.50 kernel add-on and use the orignal pandora? All help appreciated
checked DaX's site @ 4:00am cst(GMT -6:00). Its there. Updated my "slim" to 3.80 m33 @ work 13 hours ago, updated to m33-2 when I checked Dax's site, and will update my son's "phat" later today now that the add-on is out.

yes, I can't get Resident Evil 2 to play all past the police station anymore. And I changed the game id as well.
i have follow the readme file and begin to install when the updates finish check the 380.pbp..ok bla..bla.. it's ask me to press x. when i press x, the update begin to start, but i have some error message after that at the psp update, it's say: the system cannot be updated. the update data is not applicable for this system (CTA80000025) ???what's wrong with my psp update?

come out with a 3.80 M33-3 that has this feature: -option to switch between "select" and "home" for VSHmenu in Recovery Mode. This is a reason I wont update past 3.52 M33-4 because I have to use "select". I use it for my PSP camera. DAX, pls make that option under Recovery Mode if you're going to make M33-3.
hey I've been away from the psp scene for a while...I have Dark Alex's 3.10 OE-A firmware. I just want to make sure I do this right. Should my update path be 3.10 OE-A to 3.52 M33 to 3.52 M33 v2 to 3.52 M33 v3 to 3.80 M33? Or can I just go straight from 3.10 OE-A to 3.52 M33 v3 and then update to the 3.80 M33. I just need to know how to get to 3.52-3 without bricking my psp...thanks in advance.
at first i was updating from 3.71 m33 -2, it's fail, then i upgraded to 3.71 m33 -4, and updating from there, but it's didn't work either.. ???
Apparently there is no support for eLoader, so I thought what the heck, maybe someone on here can help me out. Does eLoader work for anyone with 3.80 M33? I have not been able to get it to run ANYTHING. Even Installatron doesn't work. Anything I try to run quickly crashes with a bus dump error. I have not been able to get a single piece of 1.50 homebrew to run... EVERYTHING crashes with the same error. Before everyone tells me to run the 1.50 plugin, I am on a PSP Slim, so eLoader is my only option. I have formated the 8GB memstick several times, so that is not the problem either. All 1.0, 2.x, 3.x homebrew works fine out of the box, just nothing with eLoader.
Will M33 versions allow PSP to play PSX in ISO file? And downgrading PSP will it make my PSP destroyed or else? heeelp me reply please
