Thanks DAX & M33 Team, All the psp love you give us will return to you 10 fold in your next life!!!!!!!!! LOL Or, so they say!
First
thanks DAX....
*second
third?
my fat PSP successfully updated with 4.01 M33-2
*now testing....
Yea I was messing around with my slim and selected the network update and ly enough there it was 401m33-2. But the site's registration was working for me so I figured someone else would say something....
cxmb doesnt work still!
yes it does......
i'm still trying to figure out how to put the 1.50 kernel plugin into my psp... :(
no it doesnt work! my 3.90m33-3 works fine!
cwcheat works....!!
we're talking cxmb!
can't you read my title....
i'm just reporting what have i done to my psp....
i said that i can use cwcheat with 4.01 M33-2
sorry if this makes u angry..
no hurt feeling..
pspslim2000: calm down he never said he was talking to you lol..
thanks dude, i was hoping it would work.
i hope that somebody will create a new version of cxmb for 4.01
Is a new popsloader coming out for this CFW? because I want to continue playing Gran turismo. The game locks up after the SCEA logo.
It works on 4.01m33-2.
If u mean you want to use 4.00 or 4.01 pops, just ''use original from flash'' for 4.01 and maybe try the files in the existing popslader for 4.00.
As for Gran Turismo, why not play the second one?
The popsloader that was made for 3.80 m33 works on this.
I already beat GT2. I was looking for GT1 so that i could play again. But it still doesn't work.
There already is new release of a CXMB for 4.01.
this would come with the save state function and what was the other one? oh well maybe it was just rumors....
i had 4.01 M33 and my usb worked just like normal, i update to 4.01 M33-2, and i get some wierd usb error. When i plug a cord in i push usb mode and it just says usb mode forever. Then i push o and push usb mode again and it works but a message comes up saying an internal error has occured, then i push o and i can access the xmb while in usb mode. But if i want to exit usb i have to reboot. wierd. Does anyone else have this bug?
they said that it wouldnt be 100% by the release. so im guessing its still in the works. im looking forward to it too :\
Anyone figure out why some of us are still having trouble getting IR Shell to work with this version
Both Phat and slim work with no usb errors. If your USB cable is a cheap $9 usb/power combination it could very well be a meesed up cable. Intermittent shorts are a b**** to track down and take care of.
Also... you didn't have a custom theme on your PSP when you installed this did you? I always had problems installing custom firmware before I started returning my PSP to default settings before upgrading. Just food for thought...
How do you fix the error with the savedata icon so that it shows the actual picture of the psx game and not the dracula icon (This is very annoying)?
Anyone know how to fix this?
This was also on 3.80m33-x and 3.90m33-x, I ended up downgrading to 3.71m33-4 due to the minor bugs . I hope that this bug will be fix in the future.
Thanks Dark_AleX!!!!!! !!!
I don't see any reason that I need to upgrade to this. There is nothing fancy enough just yet for me to change.
CXMB has never worked for me
3.90 m33 has all its ***** (plugins homebrew) worked out
untill this has it too + 180 or so ctf themes im in XD
Anyone that can't get IR Shell working with 4.01m33-2, check out my post here:
http://forums.qj.net/showthread.php?p=2070239&posted=1#post2070239
for the solution
yeah it is a really cheap usb cable, i dont know, but its funny though because it worked fine until i updated to 4.01, but i did remove my custom theme to normal, and put back the original flash0.
i just got a magic gate 2GB memory stick.
i know that you download sony offical firmware update 1.50, 3.52, and 3.90 firmware updates then extract them and renaming them PBP. The problem is i dont how to extract files. Also what PSP file do i put the custom firmware files in MP_ROOT , SAVEDATA , SYSTEM , or GAME? I almost forgot what psp file do i put the RAR file.
Pandor battery and homebrew were do i get downloads for that and were do i put them in my psp.
I think that is it add ULR if possible. and when i gt the memory card i updated to 4.10 update and cant find any down grader programs for the psp.
none of the previous pandora installers work with this firmware... will we see one soon????
I'm having issues with this update. Since I installed it my PSP keeps telling me that "There are no games" on my memory stick. If I go to USB mode, with or without a cable connected, or eject and reinsert the memory stick and then go back to games they suddenly reappear. If I run something from the list and then quit, the games are gone again. I've never had this problem before on any previous firmware, custom or otherwise.
I see no point in updating to this. The only difference is a in-xmb google search. You can just go to the internet browser and google search. Im not gonna lose by badass theme for this. Good job though DaX. Its not your fauly sony makes gay-ass updates.
have you tried formatting the memory stick?
Just tried reformatting. Seems it worked. Weird. Wonder why it would have been an issue.
Thanks for the help.
pandora battery is a hardmod, you dont need to download anything for that.
For the MMS (magic memory stick) you will need "14749_TOTALNewbi easyInstallerPa ndorasmenu". you do not simply drag and drop the zipped files onto your PSP, you must run the program on your computer, follow the simple steps, then then program formats your memory card and instals itself. after you have the MMS and the pandora battery, just put them into your psp, press O or X (forgot witch one) your done.
it doesnt matter what firmware version you currently have (i modded my frieds psp when he was running 4.01 OFW)
im sure you can find some tutorials on this web site.
I'm not going to update either, because I like Ir Shell.
I can't install this or 3.95 M33.
I am still using the original firmware Sony put out.
I have v 3.95.
Every time I try to install this 1 or 3.95 M33 I get the message "The game could not be started. (80020148)"
Is there any1 that knows Y I am getting this message.
O and I did copy the original update to the root of the memory stick as 395.PBP for 3.95 M33 and as 401.PBP for this 1.
I would appreciate any help, thanks.
I forgot to mention that I would rather have 3.95 M33 installed if possible. But I don't think I can sense I already have the original 3.95 installed.
If you "can't install" why are you getting the 80020148 error? Have you actually installed the custom firmware, if so you might need to turn on the m33 driver
I have no idea why it works. I just know that it sometimes does. I had to do the same a few times after updating
So you say you are on sony' s Official firmware? Then you need a pandora battery and a magic memory stick. It should not be too hard to find. However if you dont have a friend with a CFW psp then you will either have to hard mod the battery or buy one somewhere.
magic memory stick?
If U mean a MagicGate Memory Stick, I do have 1. I menchened that I copied the original update to the root of the memory stick.
I have a SanDisk 8GB MagicGate Memory Stick PRO Duo.
No I haven't installed custom firmware.
It starts like a game or original update would with it makeing the little ding sound and showing PSP on the screen, then go's to a black screen then come's up with the error.
Those updates won't run on official firmware - they're not designed to. You use those to update a custom firmware to a newer custom firmware.
A magic memory stick isn't one with MagicGate. It's specially formatted by the computer while you have the PSP on USB connection, and has special files loaded on it that are run when you insert a pandora's battery. I'd reccomend the totalNewbie Pandora installer. It installs 3.71 M33 when it's done, but that can be easily upgraded to any newer version, and this installer is by far the easiest one to use, IMHO (install DC4 to the memory stick.) However, this only works on Windows XP, and I haven't looked into doing it on Vista.
You still need the pandora's battery. Either get one from somebody who's already got Custom Firmware, or you may have to buy a tool battery from Datel for $20. Be forewarned - they take forever to ship, my friend who got one says.
I had a problem.I put the 4.01 sony update in the 40.1 m33 folder as 401.pbp. But when I start it it says The games could no be started and some numbers.... plzzzz help
Go Team M33 your still the best in the buisness :)
If you have OFW, then you can not run anything from GAME. You have to get CFW installed first.
im completely new to homebrew, do u need 4.01 m33-1 first or can u go straight from 1.5 to 4.01 m33-2???
