Could it be? TA 088v3 got hacked?

Talk about a holiday rush! We've gotten word that the TA88v3 motherboard has finally been hacked. A video has already been posted on YouTube, which shows how M33-2 was successfully installed into a PSP Slim. This video was filmed by Despertador21 of the PSPGen forums, it'd be better if you watch it first.

At 3:28, he shows us clearly that the PSP Slim he was using was running on TA88v3. I could hardly believe my eyes at 5:20, the screen flashes this message, "OK! Your PSP is hacked, Thank your for usage." With grammar aside, the message did indicate that the PSP was indeed hacked. He then makes use of another memory stick, then shows the camera that the PSP runs on M33-2.

It's a bit hard to tell from the vid alone, especially when we consider that the files haven't leaked just yet. PSPGen is currently in contact with Despertador21, who thankfully is open to dialogue. As far as the video goes, it seems pretty legit. Hold on to your seats, 'cause we might be getting a very welcome belated Christmas gift.

We'll keep you posted on further developments and the authenticity of this hack.

If all the other motherboard info is "???????" yet it shows TA-88-V3 they edited the DC7 source on a "hackable" Madden PSP , since not all Madden PSP's are V3's.

Guys, he had 3 separate memory cards if you watch the video closely. the sandisk that never left the box, the memory card that worked in the first psp and not the second, and the 3rd that did work in the 2nd psp... ^_^

If you watch you'll see Even if he Does have 3 sticks he Placed a 1g in the PSP that did the flashing Then Pulls out JUST as the Flash was done the 16g, Now unless it's VERY bad editing I can understand BUT i still don't understand Why he has not Proven by Just Uploading the files.

This Video was already discussed in Forums at Dark-Alex.org . The video shows of a 1gb put in and a 16gb taken out *this is the first point made at the forum.

2nd point - He could have swapped the motherboard of a slim hackable to the PSP-3000. which indeed someone already did tat and made a video showing it hacked a PSP-3000 but really it was a PSP Slim motherboard swapped to the new psp

3rd Point - (Not sure) but Despertador21 did left a message posted on the forum. besides the fact of insulting everyone (bcz some where saying it was fake) he said it wasn't fake. but we never heard from him ever again in the forum. However he did uploaded a new video where it shows a PSP-3000 where it shows that the mother board comes up TA ?????? which indedd is what comes up with DC (Despertar Del Cementerio).

Despertador21 could have either swapped the motherboards, or modified DC (Despertar del Cementerio)

*Another thing I found is on one of his video showing/installing a CFW 5.02 OME. It shows his firmware being 5.21 M33-2 which he says in french (I'm Trilingual, spanish, english, and median french) tat he used a small plug that changes the number.

There's been a couple posts over at GameFAQs were they said that they got a Sandisk stick instead of a Sony one in their bundle. I think Sony may have stopped bundling their crappy sticks.

I fully don't think it's real BUT i do have to Point out that he DOES NOT pull out the 16g, What happen is he Takes the 1g out and Places it aside then he takes the PSP battery and 16g and Boots PSP to CFW (To me that's just him being *****ty with a cam and Bad editing)

Extremely questionable I see its a Madden and when that Edition came out months ago I bought it the first night and hacked it by simply downgrading to 3.90 then upgrading to 4.01M33 then to 4.01M33-2 all with a Pandora. Anybody can hack a Madden PSP not a big deal if this is what the big deal was about then I hacked TA88v3 when it first came out. My PSP is a TA88v3 and currently at 5.00M33-4

The first version Madden's do not have a TA-088v3 , Thus why this video is Hard to think it's real or not.

the Newer version Madden PSPs have a TA-088v3 So if he really does have that Then this is a BIG deal.

It would be very easy to fake installing CFW on a TA88v3 by just swapping the innards of the the PSPs. Until there is proof then I call shenanigans.

he puts in the 1gb stick then takes it out and pick up the 16gb to out it inside..think about it why would he take out the 1gb stick to put back in again?(its because that the 1bg stick is what he used to flash the psp with, he jus puts the 1gb stick down and the cam sways away nhe took up the 16gb to put in)simply as that..there was no stopping of the vid..it flowed..

why? because, i just think that, he has the money to buy a psp 3000 right? (ofcourse because he has 16gb memstick and thats quite expensive same as buying a brand new psp 3000 ) and that is a pure ta-088v3 mobo psp, why does he only showed a madden blue psp 2000 but not in psp 3000?, maybe he swapped the hackable psp mobo to a non hackable psp mobo, its will perfectly fit because of its same shapes and etc. but in psp 3000 the architecture is not same to psp 2000 and he cant fit a unhackable mobo in there...

and so i just guess its a fake,

but we will have to see more proofs and legit confirmed news and updates on this issue...

he is also not open to public by showing how its was really done, things that is needed and programs to be used...its just simple mind boggling and not clear to the point...

When you flasha full NAND copy, which pandora does, your settings get completely wiped and replaced with the ones from the copied PSP. If you do a update or just a reinstall, or went from a backup of the same PSP, the settings will stay, but it all depends on which PSP gave the backup.

Anyone can modify the DC program and make it seem as if the PSP was a V3. In order to prove his work all he has to do now is put up a tutorial and installation files. A video can stir up skepticism, but without factual proof from a trustworthy source that can verify this claim, there is no need to believe and get our hopes up.

Yes lets let someone like Alek decide I actually talked to him earlier on his forum and he thinks the same as me we agreed that of course the DC and PSPident Files were hex edited its not that hard to do I just did it about an hour ago to see if it was possible and it is. If you want confirmation go to his site and ask him but this is definitely a hoax and as to my earlier post my PSP is just a TA88. If this PSP is ever destined to be hacked the TA88 will have to be stripped down and the IPL's looked at under extreme scrutiny.

All this person is doing is trying to get views for his video. Its RIGHT after the holiday and everyone got their *New* PSP 3000 and they want custom firmware. My cousin has a 3000, but he didnt know that one wouldnt work with cfw yet.

...IF this is real then why would they just make a video about it and have no proof or have it for everyone to use like the legit ones do.

Well, For what it's worth, i understand your point of view... But official firmwares are like Health and safety regulations, sending a message as logical as: "We are going to cut one of your legs and that will definitely make you run faster...".

If you are a legit Sony develloper, cfws should push you to devellop something better. The PSP is an amazing platform but as every other sony devices, it has the potential to be far more than just a game console.

If you're not a legit sony develloper, you're pretty f***ing scary and should probably see a shrink... or have a shag, a wank, anything that would relieve the pressure...

SONY Shouldn't be pissed. Homebrew developers and programmers who develop apps for homebrew extend the power of the PSP and puts it to the max. SONY Doesn't use their machine (PSP) to the fullest, they tie the consumer to their releases (ex. MP4 video only, etc..) In homebrew we can get MP4, DIVX, and more...with apps developed. Running games from Memory stick shows how much Sony is wasting on UMD Discs and so, Memory stick games run faster and load faster. I you own the game why not Dumb the game to a memory stick??? A good example for this is what happened to me, I own NFS Carbon OTC and the UMD plastic broke and the game came loose, I repaired it by gluing it back carefully without touching the game or damaging it. UMD can break easy and r a drag to carry, why not Homebrew rise it and take it in your memory on the go. Especially when theres 16GB memory cards? r if you go to Japan why not get a MicroSD Adaptor to MSProduo and hook x2 16GB MicroSD. Tats 32GB right there. :)

Homebrew is the best! and thanks to homebrew we push the developers of sony to think about how much their Toy can really do.

The TA-088V3 will be eventually hacked. Nothing is impossible in this world. While there's people who want to hack it, it will be done. Its just matter of time.
