Artillery Shell Now Loads 2.00+ UMD's! |

Excellent News from the folks over at Artillery. They've been able to do a slight tweak to with the MPH Loader and just like magic, we can now load our 2.00+ UMD's directly from the Shell. This definitely saves a lot of hassel!We are the first shell to load 2.00+ umd's. We've coupled Artillery with MPH's loader. There are 2 umd icons. The first one loads umd's the same way Artillery always has, and the second icon runs the umd with the MPH loader. There is no need to have MPH's loader on the psp to use this. The firmware must still be on the mem. stick. There are flash0 and flash1 folders in the MbShell folder. Hope everyone likes it.

simple english people, now you people can get back to your illegal iso downloading for psp games that require 2.00+

On 2.6 it stays at loading kernel and crashed, sorry 2.6ers
just modify the config file from
homebrewpath = ms0:/MbShell/game/
to
homebrewpath = ms0:/PSP/GAME/
ISOs are the compressed form of UMD that can be loaded onto the memory stick, and then used to run a game from the memory stick instead of the UMD.
This can be used for piracy (you can download the ISOs of games online), but it is also very useful because it reduces strain on he battery life, make having multiple games more portable, and reduces the load times for your games.
I back up all of my games to the ISO format for these reasons.
And yeah... does it allow for the loading of ISOs?
Well sense i cant get GTA or SOCOM to work using the 2.0 firmware in the flash0 and flash1 folders using this shell, i can say that its doesnt work.
or can everybody else run music and homebrews of this cause i cant.

this is for 1.0 and 1.5 firmwares.
and iso's arent compressed.
the dax format iso's are compressed.

That is insteristing, I have been useing it to play Prince of Persia WAY before this anouncment. Well, maybe it is more compatible now or somthing. Anyway, awesome work as always. This is possibly the best OS for the PSP so far. :)

ok i havent used this yet but it seems it can play only a few selected games like the runumd program or mphloader....so it just backups some 2.0+ games atm and other cant still be played..i hope this clears out the doubt about it works on all 2.0+(for what it seems it doesnt,just on a few)

I can't play any songs with the mp3 player.. actually i can't select any songs.. while trying to find the right button to select songs... if will just crash

Buy the game. This will not load iso's. I know the MPH loader by itself will, but this will not. So don't be cheap. Go buy the game.
on a 1.50, clicking photo, video or music will crash the os with an exception error.
if u use dax ziso to compress ur iso's, this os wont load any of the compressed 2.00+ required games (tried using the newest daxziso, with direct load and system menu).

i agree ir shell is not as flashy but it is way more power full.. here that POWER.. u can do more w/ ir shell as long as u have home brew on ur stick ir shell w/ launch it and lesten to ur own mp3's while ur at it as well as take sreen shots.. ohh w8 i have to change the chanel w/ my psp.. switch and switch bk to the game.. just an fyi.. this program is real nice but may be u can impiment the same deal as ir shell u got the looks now get the power.. ;)
Well, this seems like a decent shell, but it also sounds like there's alot of problems with it regarding the actual loading of 2.0 UMDs. It's nice progress though, I'd like to see a more compatible UMD loader out there and maybe this is the first step towards one.

ok when i change the file path for homebrew then try to run the homebrew it crashes,i cant change the wallpaper i guess its just only1....sigh.. i have doubts about this 1 if im doing smothin wrong can any1 give me some info

is it true that it can't detect homebrew or when i try to click on the hb icon, it crashes because i renamed all my folders to hide the corrupt files?

I think there's a variable in main.cfg for homebrew loading.. and the default value is 0. If i change it to one.. I can't even go into the OS
