Final Fantasy III is making its way onto the PlayStation Network next week, giving PSP owners the chance to crank it up on the go.

A post earlier today on the PlayStation Blog made the Final Fantasy III PSP announcement official. Starting on September 25, you can download the game for PSP use to begin playing what is described as “a journey with the four Warriors of Light — Luneth, Arc, Refia, and Ingus — as they battle to save the world from being engulfed in Darkness. A dangerous mission, to be sure; to accomplish their task, they will need an incredible set of skills.” Well doesn’t that sound dramatic?
The so-called Job System in Final Fantasy III is touted, giving you the ability to learn 23 unique jobs, such as that of the Geomancer, Dark Knight, White Mage, and more. If you’ve played the game on other systems and are wondering what some PSP highlights will be, here they are:
- Auto-battle system for quicker combat
- Image gallery
- 16:9 optimized graphics
- Ability to switch to the original BGM
While the announcement focused on the game’s availability for the PSP, it will apparently worth on the PS Vita as well.
