Team Mack is back to show us even more proof of their upcoming Custom Firmware 6.00 MAC-B. In the latest video, the team walks us through the new features of their CFW project, from the ISO encryption method to the the double system update options.

How thick are you? We can write software that uses the XMB's UI elements. They just did that, and loaded it as a plugin.

This is why they don't actually SELECT either of the options on the menu, and why there's no icon.

Things they have yet to do:

1. OPEN ONE OF THE OPTIONS on the System Update.

2. Plug in the PSP and show us the new battery charging animation.

3. Open the Game menu and use the Group Content feature.

4. RUN A GAME.

5. Show it booting from a cold reboot.

So what if it's fake? They get 15 minutes in the spotlight, then flamed till they change their handle. ITS THE CIRCLE OF INTERNET LIFE.

I think they're actually producing something, but their inexperience is showing. It's slow, compared to some of the "better" devs, but it's hating like this that pushes the greats like becus25, Fanjita, Helldash/Marian(?) and POSSIBLY DaX (no updates in close to 6 months? sounds like he flew the coop....for a while anyway) to leave the scene, and not let their full potential be known.

The Network Update can be changed in memory very easily. I have done it before with other menu items. As far as i know there should be 2 16 bit Unicode string at 2 memory address that can be changed easily. One for the menu item and one for the title. I haven't done allot of work in xmb so please correct me if im wrong.

If it is real at least then can release the new keys for the 6.00 updater so they can be added into psar dumber, i really want to look at the new prxs.

Well as it so turns out that these "n00bs" couldn't figure out how to encode the damn video and accidentally encoded a 16:9/10 into 4:3 aspect ratio.

Basically the video is native widescreen but they encoded it to "fullscreen" which squished it.

But this video seems like it's based entirely around their firmware being proved real because there's a function called System Update...But they also showed that they can easily change the name of menu choices anyway. first they say that they had a theme, thats why it said Network Update, but then on this video, they said they don't have a theme on it so now it says System Update.

But then when they scroll down to System Settings, it is now named Firmware Information...

TIP: if you guys want to prove that its real, leave everything in its default settings! don't change the name of the icons and say "oh i wanted to change it cause it sounded better" or whatever!

Show system info and then load up one of the games that can't be played on current custom firmware and that will shut down any disputes... until then, nothing can be verified, so its pointless to say that this is or isn't fake.

i am not sure whether or not the video is fake, but what i do know is the fact that Mack is creating uncertainty because he even states himself that he "edited some of the menu labels" eg. Mack changes system information to firmware information just because he simply felt like it. WEll if he didn't edit so much random crap and just showed us some real features on 6.00 there would not be so much controversy.

To start off with, I'm not as situated in the Scene as I would hope, but I'm a logical person. I'd rather believe someone who is notable and whose contributed to development than total nobodies who may or may not be fake

I personally think they are totally fake, and FreePlay, I may have not known you since 2day, but you've officially gained my respect.

As for Mr. Erique here, I say this: 1. You can't even spell the word "retard" correctly, 2. You've obviously never taken a Psychology class, as your logic is textbook fallacious, and 3. If you think FreePlay (or anyone for that matter) can't create a custom mod for something like this, then consider other facts: The thing wasn't even the correct 16:9 aspect. Pardon me for sounding insulting, but you'd probably thing Halo 3 could be burned to a blank UMD if someone showed a match being played on the screen (in video mode).

Anywho, Let's just stop fighting until we actually get some real proof people. Lines are drawn, and they'll remain there until the dust clears (and Erique, I hope you have a backup plan in case its fake cuz you'll be a laughing stock if ur wrong...)
