Don't be too surprised if you happen to find out that your PS3 needs another firmware upgrade the next time you turn it on. In an interview with MTV Multiplayer, director of network operations for Sony Computer Entertainment America Eric Lempel, he talks about what's in store for the firmware updates for both PSP and PS3, and how they spread out the release of future updates in the coming year. While we have barely a month left until the end of the year, Lempel mentioned that Sony still plans to release a few more firmware updates - the first of which already seen with the PS3's 2.01 firmware update. He assured everyone that these updates "will have some good features, good stuff that hopefully people will enjoy."
While the regular release of firmware updates for both Sony platforms do help owners fix the occasional hiccups they find in the system, some people find it just a bit annoying to have to update practically every time they turn on their console or handheld. Lempel addressed this issue saying:
WeÂ’re trying to certainly cut down on the amount of times we do it. But on occasion when weÂ’ve got these good features ready to go, letÂ’s give them out to the consumers. LetÂ’s get them out there. We definitely understand that it does happen frequently and that can be somewhat annoying to some users.
Other improvements he noted was the fact that the servers on Sony's end seem to be processing downloads a lot faster than before. In the long run, this will definitely help console owners get over any inconvenience they may find with the repeated updates that they seem to be releasing lately.
Lempel is also responsible for the recently opened PSP PC store, which offers PSP owners the chance to download numerous content for their handhelds, ranging from newly released games to even free themes. In the meantime, just keep an eye on your consoles for the next update from Sony.

What I really want is that SONY launch an update before holiday to help sales, or launch the so hyped HOME or something wow.

Thats kinda retarded. A USB is meant to "chatter" in. What do you mean by people that used headphones cant voice chat online? If you talking about headphones like the ones without a mic then thats kinda obvious.
