PSP Upgrader/ Downgrader makes CFWs easier to handle

Homebrew coder Bob Joe has developed an application called PSP Upgrader/Downgrader that should make upgrading, downgrading, and installing a custom firmwares much easier.

The program is very easy to use and will copy all the files for you, not to mention give you step by step instructions. The developer gave word that this is the first release, so there might be a few bugs.

If you're interested in the development cycle of the program, Bob Joe also gave some details on the improvements implemented since he made version 1.0:

There are two versions of PSP Upgrader/Downgrader: a full version having more features and a lite version. Be sure to go over the Readme file and follow the instructions to the letter when using this program.

i just upgraded to 3.52M33 with this tool... it makes finding the proper eboots a no brainer. congrats with this tool, its perfect for those who don't know what their doing, or for the people who don't read readme's.

hey i need a little help understanding something here. i owned a psp a very long time ago and i had fw 1.5 which i upgraded to dark alex 2.71 se b but im able to downgrade it. i moved to a new place n i thought i had lost my psp. well like almost a year past and i just recently i found my psp again. Well now i want to upgrade the psp to the latest cfw but im totally confused since i havent messed around with the psp for a while. Is this cfw worth upgrading from a 1.5fw or what? also once i upgrade would i be able to downgrade back to 1.5 if i liked? I couldnt sound any more noobish but its been a while

it's worth it. and yes you can go back to 1.50 if you want. just copy the 1.50 eboot into the recovery path on yer new firmware and your back to whatever you want.. but i don't see why you would want to.. 352 m33 is 150 and 352 together there's no reason to go back.

I have the same problem... it seems that you need to downgrade to a certain fw version to upgrade to a custom one and seeing as 3.51 and higher stop downgrading... we have to wait for a downgrader specifically for those versions. All I can say is if you are on 3.51 and want to downgrade... stay there... dont upgrade to 3.52 just incase they come out with one for 3.51 and not 3.52. If one comes out for 3.52 and not 3.51 then upgrade then downgrade then upgrade to a custom fw. Thats a lotta ****.
