Coldbird and the rest of members that make up the PRO custom firmware team  for the PSP have dropped a fresh update. It's a big one as well, as it paves the way for the Prometheus online client. Previously, you needed the nightly builds at the time, if you wanted to use it. The PRO-C update does away with this.

The team advises that you update to this revision if you want the most reliable performance coming from the online client. In fact, there's a new build available as of this writing, so you may have to get updating sooner than you had thought. Before you get on with that, take some time to read this warning:

DO NOT USE THE PRO-C CIPL INSTALLER! It bricks PSPs!

We are investigating the matter! Until then... if you really need to install CIPL, please use PRO-C in combination with the CIPL installer from PRO-B10 fix1.

Thank you very much. ~ Coldbird

Now with that out of the way, you can download PRO-C from the official project page below. Remember that the CIPL Installer is only used if you have a fully hackable PSP and want to make it a permanent install.

Download: 6.XX PRO-C Custom Firmware

PSP is outselling the Vita. Far from dead.

You can't flash a 3000 anything. You will brick it if you attempt it. The motherboard on all 3000 models is unhackable, but you can do a soft hack. You'll have to reapply it each time it turns off fully.

i do soft-hack, but i'm a bit lost among so many psp builds and custom firmwares, and also optional cfw plugins. so i was unsure if CIPL can now be used on certain 300x models.
