PSP firmware 3.52 ready for download |

With the PlayStation 3's firmware 1.90 now up and ready for use among the owners, Sony has also updated the PlayStation Portable to firmware 3.52. This latest update reportedly carries an improved PlayStation Network lineup. At least, that's what we're interpreting from an Engrish taken from Sony Japan's official PSP firmware update site:- PLAYSTATION Network title performance in order to play was strengthened.

Anyone got a downgrader for this one? I was using my PSP while masturbating, and so accidentally executed the system update function because I only had one spare hand.
Download fw. 3.52, put the eboot to PSP>GAME>UPDATE folder, run update, turn off the psp while updating

there's no way you were on 3.03 OE-C for 9 months. It was only released on 25th January 2007, so the longest you could possibly have it for is 6 months.
official firmwares suck, and when i get my hands on a PSP-2000 (Slim & Lite) I hope someone cracks it, it'll be fun to launch homebrew on the "un-downgradeable" PSP. lol, lol, that word makes me laugh, cause its so not true, it'll be a matter of time and patience is the key., for the rest of the 3.5x firmwares, they suck, they're gonna continue to suck, and always will (except M33 of course) so i think it would be a pointless firmware to update to anyway, even if i had a PS3

You can't downgrade a PSP running 3.51 or higher at this time. 3.50 and lower only.
3.51 M33 is pretty much 3.51 OE with a bunch of extras thrown in. it is in no way less reliable than OE.
Damn, I changed hands so I could maintain steady control of my PS3 controller and now I accidentally upgraded it to 1.9 firmware. I didn't even get chance to cum yet.

No, you can't, unfortunately. You must wait for a downgrader for that specific firmware. The Noobz team have said that they won't start working on more downgraders for a while, so you're out of luck for a couple of months, at least. I'm sorry, I know how it is. I survived two months with my 2.01 PSP when I got it before the 2.50/2.60 downgrader was released. Just stay at 3.51 for now and keep an eye out for a downgrader. :)

...No way, no one could possibly make such a stupid comment like this without thinking about it first. I wouldn't upgrade to M33's because I enjoy everything that is on DAX's firmware already and is more stable. You can try and argue with "But M33's CF is just as stable!" Obviously it's not, or there wouldn't 89 updates for it. I realize they're trying to fix their bugs, or bring on a perfect no-UMD loader... but I don't really care about that. So yes, M33's firmware MAY be getting more stable, but Dax's already was. Also, point me in the direction of a sweet game that needs 3.51.

I really hate updating my psp because you can put in any homebrew like to read txt.
I was hesitant about it too, waited until they'd done their 7th update. But it's actually better than DAX's work. The no-UMD software is slick, really helps with load times.
Granted, most of the improvements were done by Sony, but hell, if it weren't for m33, we wouldn't have access to them so what the heck? :)
Also, don't forget that for the earlier CFW DAX put out, there were usually several revisions. Give m33 time, they'll get to the point where they don't need to patch their CFW soon.
Oh, and you /can/ downgrade all firmwares, even 3.52. You just can't do 3.51 and 3.52 withouot either a mod chip or a flashing device right now. :)
But to do 3.51 or 3.52, you will either need a professional NAND flashing device or a mod chip. :)

So let me get this straight. You wait for *new CFW to come out and then make your move to upgrade to the previous most recent CFW when that becomes available. Only then you get your kicks of owning a "stable/reliable" CFW (in your logic).
Faks sake, the whole idea of releasing *new CFW (besides the fact that newer/future titles will be requiring newer FWs) is that so WE/the users can test it out at that point, not freakin' 8 months or more.
Plus, there is NO DIFFERENCE with M33 and DAX CFW.
Those who says otherwise are either noobs or just arrogant fools like yourself.
I've been around since the 1.00/1.50 days when a bunch of ppl would tend to argue like what you guys are doing right now. But all those are just myths and some are just freak of nature on their view of the whole scene.
And I am more than happy to move to a newer CFW (regardless of it's origin/coders) if given the chance. Although I pay my tribute to them in MANY means except your kind (bad mouth something you know OBVIOUSLY NOTHING ABOUT)
The ONLY valid reason some ppl stay back to a CFW is because some have developed complex codes/brews/themes/etc... meaning upgrading to a newer CFW would be a disaster on those end cause their hard work would be obsolete if they do so.
THE BIGGEST, Most common mistake with M33 is that EVERY single myth that it's incompatibility with certain ISO(s). But if you've been with the PSP Community since day break (the beginning) you'll realize that those who say so are a complete noob/liar/in-experienced comments. NOTHING ELSE. cause if you personally load those ISOs, would find that it's perfectly fine.
Some ppl compain that certain ISOs don't work because the source of those ISOs are wither a bad one or just something from mininova or some trash place like that. on which a million dupe/modified versions are looming left right and center.
The ONLY most probable/obvious issue with M33 is that their *tiny bug issues (which they get from personal experience, valid tips, etc...) on which they act upon instantly, so as Dark Alex did when he began his OE-, A`, B, C, etc...
Yet not even half of the cry babies like yourself tend to surface and give em your arrogant/narrow minded opinions then. (Why do you think that?) *Duh!

Thank you Ole... the first sane and non offensive person I've spoken to on this thread. You actually gave me the info i was looking for. I don't know much about psp cfw's as I live in South Africa... nothing happens here!!! I know 1 person who has a PSP. I upgraded with the wrong fw because my friend gave it to me and said it was a different one. And if anyone is wondering... No... there are no lions and elephants walking around in the streets... they live in the bush. Oh well... a couple of months of waiting for me...

i just took a look at M33's website (http://m-33.narod.ru/) and they have 3.52 M33 ready for download! I'm installing it now. If i have any problems I will let everyone know!
hey everybody! offically updated to 3.52 M33 and its working just fine. was able to run isos and csos still....all the good homebrew. USB still connects..lol. from what i see you do need to have updated XMB themes to at least 3.51. other than that it looks like it all works...now i just need to get near a wifi spot and see if the network update tells me im up to date. ROCK ON M33!

i just updated my psp 2 fw 3.52 then bout 5 mins after i discovered cfw how long till a new downgrader comes out
if you area new psp user you should select another psp site these people are useless and obivisouly there is no one monitoring this message borad so it is filled with usless childish fights and comments. If you are a noob start at the begining update your psp to "3.50" and use the"3.50" downgrader this with a simple patch you can run emulators and roms without custom firmware. if you do decide to install any custom firmware you should understand if you have a newer psp you won't be able to re-update to anything beyond 3.30 offical sony firmware however usually before the umd psp games require the update a hacked or custom firmware is available so it really is not an issue. just rember it is harder to downgrade than update your firmware so choosing the latest can be the worst situation i have tried oe and m33 they both work great yes pretty much the same i would reccomend m33 only if you have a ps3 because it does currently support all of psp's latest features with the ps3 however if you do not have a ps3 then oe will work just as well for you.
