It really seems like Sony really doesn't know what they're doing. They don't know what games we want (you can tell by the way they're pushing a horrible game like Gangs of London), to featureless updates and just more security patches that don't even patch anything. If it wasn't for the quality games finally coming out for PSP the past few months I would have abandoned PSP long ago. Sony needs to evaluate what the handheld crowd wants and give it to us.

yah that guys right, all you hafta do is jus put 3.02 in folder 301 jus switch the F0 folder, thats it, then u get it to run, im running 3.02 on my PSP right now, theres no big difference except for when you go to security settings, theres 3 options, im not sure if this was on 3.01 because i didnt check but hte options are CHANGE PASSWORD, PARENTAL CONTROL LEVEL, AND INTERNET BROWSER START CONTROL. yeh, thoz are jus the UPDATES for this, even if its a JAPANESE UPDATE, its still in english.

I think at the end of the day ur 1.5s will lose coz it'll just brick, or something, i had a 1.5 psp and upgraded to 3.02 and im hacking firmware were 3.00 i should be finished soon. but at the end of the day a orginal psp+games and all that is better, if u want to play a game on 1.5 it takes time to load devook getting it on, stARTing the game. by then u would just be to bored to play, all 1.5 realy does is allow u to play free games with lag,, so just update have no worries about bricks or laged games and have some fun! i was notlieing about hacking soo if u dont belive me then dont. i dont blame u, but i might not share the secrets. thmx ;)

I've downloaded Everybodys Golf 2 from the Taiwan PS Store to my PS3. I had my PSP running v3.02 using devhook 0.51. The game downloaded and installed to my PSP ok but if you try and run the game it shows a disclaimer saying that it might not work like the original game blah blah... then it goes black for a few seconds and it switches off. When I turn it back on it goes back to factory defaults where you have to choose your country etc.

I can confirm that his file works, I did it. Unfortunately, if you rename the "301" folder to "302" and replace your 301 folder with the actual 3.01 dump, devhook will not recognize the "302" folder.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but if you connect your psp (in devhook emulating FW 3.01/3.02) and select the camera option, Windows tries to install it... Does this mean someone could create drivers to allow us to use our webcams as PSP cameras? Just thinking of the possibilities here...

the way I used it on my psp

edit the ms0:/dh/05beta/menu/menu_fw.txt and add -------- !firmware 3.02(MS or flash+MS) REBOOT_PATH+"flash0:/dh/302;ms0:/dh/302/f0;ms0:/dh/05" BTCNF_PATH+"/kd/pspcnf_tbl_dh.txt" FLASH0+"/dh/302;ms0:/dh/302/f0" FLASH1+"/dh/302;ms0:/dh/302/f1" ------- then place your 302 files in a folder called /dh/302 as you would for /dh/301...I copied the virgin 301 folder to make a 302 and then placed the f0 files from psardumper in there and it worked flawlessly. As such you should be able to just place it in the 301 folder provided its a virgin folder and use it as is I don't see why it wouldn't work however the menu will say 3.01 but the firmware should load and say 3.02. hope it works for you.

yes you have to flash the flash1 files

yes you need to flash the devhook flash1 for it to work otherwise you get a rotating BSOD that screws up your real flash1 (atleas for my 2.71SE-C it did) I made a mistake of removing my 301 flash1 files and forgot to flash the 302 flash1 and it BSOD and I had to reset my SE-C flash1 from a backup. Glad I had a dump still :)

in a simple answer

yes. the new 0.51 devhook uses a /dh/xxx folder. xxx being the version number of the firmware. i do suggest only placing one version of firmware files on the flash as the space is limited and could potentially brick your unit if you're not careful. the older devhook also places them in a /dh folder if I recall but I'm not sure as I don't have the memstick with me with an older version. I think it placed all versions in /dh instead of a respective folder inside /dh. Hope this helps you.

it wasn't my fault! the MS slot broke and the sony service fixed it - it was still under warranty - but they upgraded to 3.01 as well. so sad, as soon as 2.5 downrgader came out the slot broke, so I couldn't downgrade... so sad...

1) u dun need other ms to use older dh046. u can combine dh046 with dh051 which mean only 1 dh folder in ms_root. only 1 ms is enough. 2) flash1 isn't as crictical as flash0 when it comes to flashing. dh046 doesn't need to flash in order to play. so it doesn't matter coz it won't effect dh051. so bottom line - 1 ms with 1 dh folder in root with 271 dump for dh046 together with 282 or 302 dump for dh051 sharing the same dh folder but must use diff dh eboot in PSP>GAME(or GAME150) folder.

It doesn't patch the biggest one know by the homebrew community so far, namely devhook support. 3. It thusly follows that there are other holes and exploits we may not know about. 4. If Sony bothered to patch those, and not the biggest we know, one could say that they thought these other holes were more worth their time. Thus, there are bigger holes and exploits than the ones we know now on firmwares 3.0-3.01. We should go looking for these fast. The future never looked brighter, honestly. Or maybe I'm just blowing smoke and Sony really has lost its marbles.

I've Got an idea about the 3.0x ps1 emulator. u need a ps3 so that sucks! and the downloadable games can only work on the psp that they are downloaded to sucks also.....but if dark alex or some other dev can find a way to dump the firmware off of a 3.0x psp then surely u could emulate that specific firmware dump then u could get the games to play on that, assuming that u r able to get those games i would suggest using the bit torrent server or lime wire server. :) lol
