PSP Custom Firmware 3.73 HX-1 now out! |
Ó
Following the announcement of the latest Sony PlayStation Portable firmware being successfully decrypted and a new custom firmware made out from it, Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew developer _HellDashX_ has finally given in and released PSP CFW 3.37 HX-1 into the wild. Tally ho, Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew enthusiasts!
So, what's new this time around? Apparently, not much, except for the fact that it's based on the most recent firmware that Sony has put out. It also seems that this release is still in beta form, with the release post notifying readers that should they encounter any bugs while using the firmware, they should report it posthaste.
Installing this particular firmware isn't difficult, but by no means should you not take it seriously (after all, this messes with the innards of your PSP). Simply unzip the downloadable archive into the root of your PSP, launch the Update 3.73 application, and simply follow the instructions displayed from there. Note that your PSP must at least be on Custom Firmware 3.71 or higher to be eligible for upgrade, and preferably hooked up to a stable power outlet.
Once again, please make sure that you're up to speed in updating Custom Firmwares before doing anything else, as any mistakes during the updating process could potentially brick your PSP.

M33 3.71-4 or this?
M33 3.71-4
Good job to Helldash for making the newest custom firmware, but now that we have multidisc popsloader. Is it really worth going to a custom firmware that doesn't support it?
-andrew- -kupomogli-
I used it for it's Remote Play features, ISO compatibility, and the fact that it plays Beats.
_HelldashX_ is a great coder and deserves props for this one. I wish you would post his Donation link tho if he has one.
Thanks HDX, unfortunately I really enjoy playing PSone games ATM.
Will move up once I've had my fill.
Keep it up!
Did you download it or buy it?
he could update it to make a version compatible with the new multidisc popsloader.
i think
Welp, back to 3.71 M33-4!
wat is this? 3.73? or 3.37?
im on 3.72 and it wont do the update =(
3.37?? Where did u get that from?
Are you on Sonys official 3.72 or 3.72 HX?
If you are on Sony; downgrade to 1.50 using Pandora Battery, then upgrade to 3.71 HX then to 3.73 HX if you want this? Also you may update to 3.71 M33 ;)
_HellDashX_ has finally given in and released PSP CFW (""""3.37 HX-1"""") into the wild. Tally ho, Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew enthusiasts! XXXXXXDDDDDD
Liar. Nobody has cracked the NPDRM engine yet, and m33 have no intention of doing it.
There is no 3.37 there is just a typo on the home page it is 3.73 not 3.37 I hope QJ fixes this it looks bad.
ic heheh ^_^
im on the official firmware 3.72
but i dont have any pandora battery or a friend who has pandora =(
how can i downgrade or hack my psp with out a pandora battery?
need help please.
thanx =)
I bought and downloaded the full game from the PC PSN store. It is playable and totally works with HX firmware.
Does anyone know if the 1.50 kernel is all ready installed or does the copy and paste trick from 3.72 HX-1 still work?
Hi! 1.5 kernel . No work. Sony boot up logon missing. Found no Recovery mode. VSH menu on reset device crashes PSP. Would not play PSX or demo PBP games even with LICENCE folder in PSP root. Found no improvement to UMD software upgrade. Using 3.52 CFW asks you to 3.6 slim is installed! Later,game-on.
Hmmm anyone know when there will be a 1.50 add-on.... need it to play my homebrew games... :-(
Yes,Install Peek-a-Boo 1.5 kernal patch for CFW3.73 HX-1. Missing Recovery menu returns!
