camera

where does the go!cam plug in?
by WiiRolled - 2009-08-21 11:33:18
yeah

That's what he was asking as well in the video

Unknown Camera Support

The PSP Go dose not have the standard USB plug for the Go!Cam, so any camera support is unknown. The port on the bottom of the PSP Go is a multi port plug for AV, UBS and more, so there may be an adapter made for the GoCam to work with that. Or a hole new camera all together.

new stuff

here's what i could make up from that vid: - format system memory, since there's no umd - some option for open/closed screen, showing normal screen or clock of some sort - you enter your birth day, we've all been waiting for that - bluetooth on/off, connect to bluetooth devices on/off and that's it
by WiiRolled - 2009-08-21 12:59:17
yup

But using a new port only to force users to rebuy all their equipment is not nice
by WiiRolled - 2009-08-21 13:31:01
Uhm

Format system memory since there's no UMD? That doesn't make any sense. He says there's a new "format internal storage" option because the PSP Go has an internal storage of 16 GB which the previous PSPs of course did not have.
by FreePlay - 2009-08-21 14:29:00
...

What he said is exactly right. It has the 16GB because it has no UMD...
by ajnauron - 2009-08-21 17:24:32
I wouldn't be surprised...

...If this also patched the new MoH exploit.

Bluetooth?

Anyone know if the Bluetooth is just for the standard A2DP connection for headsets or will it be able to transfer data for things like a modem and file transfer? and the idea of wireless accessories sounds really good, especially if they got this thing hacked, just imagine what you could connect to this thing.
by holo3x3 - 2009-08-21 18:43:20
indeed

lets hope DAX and team M33 plans on taking a wack a the Go. Even if they cant break the code i hope they give it a shot.
by Techni - 2009-08-21 18:51:38
yeah

I'm still on 5.00 M33. I can't buy any new games till he gets back to work ;_; Plus the new firmware has features I want
by Techni - 2009-08-21 18:53:49
...

Sony said it supports data so you can tether your PSP to a phone and use it as a modem
by Sw3RvE - 2009-08-21 21:55:47
ummm

did they even crack the 3000 yet? why are we worried about the new go firmware unless it has magical powers.

MOHH exploit

Imagine if the MOHH exploit worked on the Go!.. That would be fantastic :D
by apex05 - 2009-08-22 03:20:01
...

Sorry to tell you mate but that's a umd exploit.
by WiiRolled - 2009-08-22 03:20:52
No

What he said doesn't sound logic
by LookingForKids - 2009-08-22 05:31:23
yea that could work !!!

IF you download MOHH on psn store then you might be able to hack it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by ShadowDemon1892 - 2009-08-22 09:46:51
wireless?

maybe they'll come out with a bluetooth camera attachment that you can just stick on top of the PSP Go
by JaXeRiR - 2009-08-22 11:18:56
s.adasd

He's basically saying that with the normal PSP you can format the UMD. He could have phrased it "format system memory, which replaced the UMD drive on the Go" which would have been logical and explained what he meant. Aniwaiii, I'm not too excited about the Go. In a few months time Sony will probably roll out the PSP Go-2000 or something similar. I'm just glad that Gran Turismo PSP and Tekken 6 aren't PSP Go-exclusive.

no

just no.

iphone to psp tethering?

if you can tether with a phone to the new "PSP GO" would that mean its possible to run a program like "PDANET" for the iphone and have it tether to you psp? and if so.. could the 3g connection allow you to play games online? can a 3g connection work without any drops or lag time or some sort of speed problem?
by CityNightRush117 - 2009-08-23 07:58:19
Dude

Why blow more of your PSP's power and making it bulkier by adding a camera to it? Everyone has a perfectly good cellphone, and most of them have cameras built-in so what's the point of having such a useless add-on for a gaming device?
by CityNightRush117 - 2009-08-23 08:01:28
16GB HDD

When it comes down to it, a new PSP-3000 costs about $179.99 and with a possible addition of a 16GB memorystick for that PSP, you're looking at a possible $300 system, but the Go is only $249.99 so there is some value there :|

Fail.

Dude....PdaNet fails for online gaming. In fact, since my wifi card died, im using my Touch as a wifi adapter......and this thing is PAINFULLY slow. Especially when gaming. Now, the PSP doesnt have the fastest WiFI card, but tethering it to your iPhone is just slowing it down more. And if you are gonna game with 3G, you have to be careful. Games eat alot of bandwidth. Even if you have an unlimited plan, AT+T will catch on after awhile and lock your phone out. And trust me, that completely and utterly SUCKS.

the least we could hope for is an exploit

@ holo3x3 don't get your hopes to high. we still havn't cracked the 3000 we only got a tiif exploit so it is still technically unhackable so what if SONY stepped up thier security in the GO considered that 5.70 might already be intalled on the go when you buy it and they havn't even finished making the exploit for 5.50 and 5.51 yet. so we might get 5.70 m33 for slim and phat users so sorry to say it but the go might never get hacked. so if anything at least hoe for an expoit with 5.70 m33
