The most magnificent change in this update was the newly added MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) playback support.

MPEG-4 AVC codec can achieve higher image quality than normal MPEG-4 under the same bitrate. The incoming HD DVD and Blu-ray will also support this codec for High-Definition video playback.

The video service provided on "Portable TV" is providing users with video clips in 320*240 resolutions, 768kbps bitrate for video, AAC 128kbps standard for audio. You can store videos on this standard with the length 2 hours and 20 minutes on a 1GB memory stick.

If you want to download the contents via your PC, you need to connect your PSP to your PC first, then visit the website of "Portable-TV", select the wanted content. The browser will download the content directly into your memory stick.
