MPH has released a new version of his firmware launcher for the PSP, version 1.2. MPH Firmware Launcher allows a user to launch any PSP firmware from the memory stick. The firmware must be in file format and not in eboot.pbp format, for convert a firmware eboot.pbp in file, use the psardump01 tool [here]. Changes in this version include:

- Load configuration information (date and hour, user name, ...) in the memory stick firmware
- System to force load some memory stick system prx (see source)
- Resolve some bugs, the firmware can run app (tested with a 1.50 psp and a 1.50 firmware, don't work yet with a 1.50 psp and a 1.00 firmware)
- Modify information display

You can get it in our PSP Download section [here].
Thanks for the info MalumEnSe!

Hey there Itaintrite,

Actully I think you'll find he also designed all the graphics himself and had a forum where he helped people all the time. He then designed a website to host everything for ungrateful ****S like you!

He also put up an e-mail address on his site to give people further help with PSP issues.

What with graphics designing, web site building, going out of his way in his own time to help people and also pre-packing everything ready to just run to name but a few of the things he has done for the scene! Sounds to me like he has done a hell of a lot for us!

And if you'd of been using his site you'd of seen that he kept all this up whilst he was getting into his new job promotion!!!

So on that note please tell me, what exactly have you done for the scene?

-Danny 1

I did report the other day that you could dump the contents of the PSP firmware's using psardump. A little bit of credit would of been nice......

Well done on this release MPH!

hey not sure if anyone has realized this but..

when u check the psp battery information it asks to reformat ur stick

and when u reformat ur stick it ask if u want to restore defaults

unless its how i got my **** loaded on the homebrew..

this would be a bug right ?

I'm probably being a little slow on the uptake, but does this mean that you can temporarily run a jap v1 as a jap 1.5 or v2, then next time you start the PSP it becomes 1 again?

Or have I totally missed the point?

This is the 12 time I have tried to post now, why are my posts being deleted?

To the post above mine that is correct.

As for the psardump I, like many others, did not read the ReadMe file. I posted this the info from my own knowledge to help people who was asking for firmware dumps.

If PSPUpdates have had the info for a month then why didn't they step in?

Ahhh well

< sarcasm >Maybe I should of released a video of me stating the info, and then asked for donations and told everyone to go a F**K THEMSELVES!. Who knows, it oculd of even been the PSP's next blockbuster movie.....< /sarcasm >

Why do you think Readme's are included ? RTFM period.

cr4igp, based on your latest post, I'm not surprised your posts are being deleted.
Anonymous #...2:09am is right, that's what readme are for. They're to be READ. So if ppl are dumb enough to not read them and then go whine to strangers, who cares. Credits for pointing out the obvious?

ps: And you didn't have to use the < sarcasm > tags. I know not to take ppl who use 'should of' and 'would of's words seriously.

Thanks for your support Danny 1.

@ everyone else

Please don't let this turn into a flame fest about me...... I didn't read the ReadMe - BIG DEAL! The world is hardly going to end.

Besides I knew what to do without the ReadMe, I was pointing the information out for others that had not read it also.

Hope this clears things up......

P.S. And as for my work not being "Special" then that is just one persons opinion that he/she is entitled to. The fact that my packs have had well over 100,000 downloads in total kind of speaks for itself though.

Don't believe me, check the downloads counters at PSPUpdates alone to get that total when combined. Not to mention the downloads from my own site and also other sites that my packs etc have been hosted on.

I think you should all sit the **** down and chill. cr4igp4lmer mau have made 1 mistake but at least he came forward and didn't deny it!

And he has also given a LOT of stuff to the PSP scene with his kxsploit homebrew packs and his website that he made in his own time to host emulators that was skinned patched EVERYTHING done for you!

What have you rejects given to the scene other than support for WAB who can't admit they are wrong!

Hope you get your new webspace soon cr4igp4lmer m8.

@anonymous248, if you ask me, taking what's already there and giving it a facelift with stuff (that are also there) isn't exactly 'special.' Hey, I tell people to go to pspupdates all the time, do I get credits for that?

Wab may have been disbanded (for reasons I don't fully comprehend or believe), but nevertheless, what's done is done. However, in their short existence, they've accomplished more than cr4ig ever will. They actually released TOOLS that people use. And I support them for that.

Maybe I should do a pack of djsp, jpeg viewer and media player and release a ksspoilt Media pack. Then I'll be contributing a lot to the scene.

1.1 was already able to run FW 2.0 as far as I know, but there were lots of bugs. Not sure about 1.2.

Ho'kay, God I know I am gonna cop it for asking this but here goes...
Can you use the firmware changer to make a 2.0 think it is a 1.0 or 1.5 so you can temporarily run homebrew?.
