" It seems that someone has been spreading a rumour that we have made a downgrader for v2.01+, but won't release it because we don't like downgraders. We'd like to just set the record straight, because it's getting annoying.
We would never hold back on an interesting hack for the PSP, without good reason. That's because, generally, we'd never work on something that we didn't think was safe to release - which is why we've never bothered to mess about with ISO loading."

lol. What rumors? Never heard any. Anyways. The only way to downgrade right now is to force the psp to use its own 1.5 update. Simply bypass the security (in which the exploit already has, the ability to launch eboots) and it could possibly downgrade.Theres no excuse for a version is already on psp error. What do you think the other loaders for umds like runumd or the katamari umd loader do? Try loading prx's from a 1.5 dump using homebrew on a 2.6 or lower.

(since january 31st). we need a new one soon. You're right, because developing an eboot loader for firmwares that were previously homebrew free and the continuously updating it for no charge, and on his time is just a load of *****. [/sarcasm]

Well, it seems like most people haven't heard the rumours. I hadn't myself either, but obviously Fanjita and Ditlew were having a problem with it, otherwise they wouldn't have posted it on their site.

It is unsafe because it messes with the flash and with the firmware of the PSP. That is how so many people get tricked into using fake downgraders, and that's how they have bricked PSP's.

Loading ISOs is perfectly safe... it's just stupid. That said, I tried my damnedest to make an ISO loader for 2.00, but it quite simply *cannot* work. There are too many restrictions in place due to the way eLoader has to run.
And no, even if I managed to get one working, I would not release it. I'm not going to promote piracy.

ISOs are not stupid! i couldn't run worms until i modified my iso! without it, i would be missing a very good game...
If it was a 2.01+ downgrader out there made by fanjita and ditlew it would be found here dumbasses get a 1.5 psp i dont think a downgrader for 2.01+ will never be possible.
the only way to downgrade a psp is if you get a blue screen which makes you set your default settings. i got the blue screen before on my 2.6 psp i'm just thinking to myself if i could have went to the 1.5 update in my game directory
Weird I never hear any rummors. It could be the dumb n00bs who just got into the homebrew scene. Who really needs a downgrader anyway. Just buy the games or have a second psp like I do for it. Anyway I'll go and enjoy my 1.5 now by.
there is a downgrader but the only problem is that it needs to use "iso loading functions" and thats y both of them wont bring it out.. it does suck that i'm here willing to donate money to help out the progress to a 2.50 downgrader or watever and they dont want to cuss of what sony thinks who are you working for Fanjita ... ! For what you need Iso Loaders? I think you want it only for piracy! Because with a good battery it's no problem to play a game with the UMD. And a lot of new games can be started on a 1.5psp with the MPH game loader or other loaders. And isos need only a lot of space on the memory stick. What we need is a downgrader that we can run all homebrew. But a lot of homebrew is also available with the GTA Exploit until firmware 2.6. But I already own a 1.5 PSP and I know its no problem, to buy a cheap (and factory-new) 1.52 or 2.00 PSP on Ricardo or Ebay. So it's no problem that you can run what you want. And I am sure, if Fanjita and Ditlew find a downgrader, they will release it. Thanks a lot to this two guys for their work !

every day .. i came here to watch something happend to my 2.01 psp.. but time passes and nothing happend.
I'm the 1st on earth to buy a 2.01 and i never use it. After 2.07 came up with locoroco i upgraded my 2.01 in realtime. Now i'm using my psp with this demo and hope to find other playable stuff very soon. I have always thinking about you, wab, ditlew, about not update - Now this nightmare has ended and i'm happy there's no downgrader for 2+ psp .. Afterall the gta programmers will thank you for a lifetime.. Sorry mate but i don't like you even if u say that piracy is bad (who are you a sony spy) :)
A quick solution for those who is eagerly waiting for the 2.01+ downgrader, 1st get a brain and stop blaming Fanjita and Co, if you guys are so clever enough find the hack yourself, did you pay Fanjita a fee for all their contribution and service? alternatively, sell your silly 2.xx PSP and get yourself a v1.5 for XXXXX sake. And you should blame yourself for getting a non 1.5 as everyone knows this is d only version can play all the homebrew games.
Yeah, I know you dont have the money bcos you spent it all on the stupid v2.xx, if you have the patience to keep checking back this site almost everyday, then you certainly have time to find a job or beg for more money.

I'm happy GTA Exploit, and will use it maybe i update to firm 2.7 > if i buy the GPS.. now to update from 2.6 > 2.7 is stupid.. 2.7 is nothing speciell... i waiting 4 firm 3.x
im thankful for edison carter, fanjita and crews hard work, with out them i wouldnt be able to play any homebrew at all. as for an iso loader, i dont need or want one. i buy games. just not new ones. but a downgrader would be nice, just to be able to run the ME version of TYL. but im not getting my hopes up.
Yes people out there are very strange. I'm not bothering here i only show the consequencies i'm here to get my self a problem.. when you buy a psp, no matter what 1.50 or 3.00 you not sign any contract.. ther's no homebrew advice on the box (and inside) - this is the fact -- so i don't need to work on a downgrader or on an isoloader by myself becouse no hadware chip.. if i buy a psp is becouse i can play games on the street and so on.. anyway since i've update my psp to a 2.07 i discovered a wifi access point directely from my bath and now i can scrub internet for free (!) hahaha
Sometimes I don't have problems with piracy, for example by microsoft products (microsoft have enough money, products doesn't work properly etc.). Or playing old Commodore64 games that are 20 years old and are not to buy in stores anymore is also no problem in my opinion because I don't harm a software company or a sales store. (Yes I know, these old games are still under copyright). But by modern computer games there is a lot of work and costs for a software company to finish a good game. (Sometimes over 1 year!!!) A lot of time and money is needed to make the main code, graphics, sounds, a good gameplay, betatesting, etc... Piracy harms these software companies, specially the small ones. Do you want, that in some years all game companies are bankrupt and f.e. only EA Games exists ??? (In that case you won't have good games, no originals and no copies!!) No thanks... To all: If you have not enough money for original games, then don't buy a PSP oder another game console. You also must not buy every game, you can watch screenshots, videos and gametests bevor buying a game - and the you will buy only the good games and you will have a lot of fun with them. I own only Ridge Racer and GTA LBS (and a lot of other original games on my PS2) and the rest of the time I am enjoying all the homebrew that exist on the PSP. And I don't think that homebrew harms sony, if homebrew were not possible on the PSP I didn't have bought one (and games)... Fanjita and Ditlew made homebrew possible to 2.00-2.60 users with the ebootloader and are absolut cool guys... And the end of the story: Don't upgrade to 2.7 and I know my english is terrible

my english is not so good so i am sorry for all the mistakes,having said this, i think the Noobz.eu. crew is exelend, they make it posible to use homebrew, and there are some verry exelend aplication's, i do not think they have a downgrader. if they had it, they would release it, in one way or another, there are more way's to use your p.s.p. playing iso, original games, (some people seem to think there way is the only way, you can buy games or not, it just a mather of who you are, or if you have the money, or you would like to play a game for a short time, so you do not want to buy it. or etc.etc. etc.)homebrew,enter tainment center etc. so don't go bashing Fanijta there is no reason whatsoever to do this.
