Author of this vid is Mack, who insists that his 6.00 MAC-B isn't fake. He promises to release the download soon, with extra colors and the network update rename. With no plans of a CFW 6.00 M33, this one came with a bit of surprise, so don't get your hopes up just yet.

after watching both videos i think this is the real deal.we'll just have to wait and see
A couple minutes into the video he attempts to update the PSP over the network. Well the whole time it's attempting to download he's covering up the text "Network Update" in the upper left corner. In 6.00 it's supposed to say "System Update" isn't it?
Seems legit I didn't see any tricks or anything. Although there's no proof of any +5.55 fw games running. But its still looks more legit than Team MX
I honestly don't believe this one bit, as all of the things in the video can easily be tampered with with a few simple changes in a hex editor.
But it can be changed with a Hex Editor, as can your FW version's Displayed Number.
It is hard to make an opinion about the release because of how everything is set up. The Recovery Menu looks like GEN, and most of the categories have custom names, making it even harder to decipher if it is real or not. I guess we will have to wait and see.
At 3:45 you can clearly see it still says network update instead of system update. These retarded kids failed big time with that one.
Whats there point in showing this video. Make it and release it, or shut the f...up simple.
Faker than AOP
They use a custom theme and a version spoofer. They never show the new features, and it took a second video for them to 'fix' the improperly named Network Update. They never open the Game menu, which would be a dead giveaway since the 'Group Content []' text would appear on the menu.
15 seconds in it says "Use m33 Network Update"... I mean it's beta... but that beta?
Exposing them is important, I figure they probably are trying to develop there own crappy firmware based off of GEN-B's code, and they are really just using GEN-B, with some hex edits, anyone else agree?
Ultimate VSH menu by red squirrel is being used in the vid. Then he goes into recovery menu and Ultimate VSH menu is disabled...
Also, at the end of the second vid, he tries to update from firmware 3.51..
i could do all that with zinga burgers rco editor and that baboon didnt even know that a psp phat had a umd switch, they are cleary psp noobs...
if it's true he can try games that require 5.55+ fw and see if it plays. that way i'll either believe it's true or hell yeah we can finally play games requiring 5.55. lol

Theres already been 3 fakes within the past week or 2? lol Easy ways to tell a fake -Youtube account made today... -No background information -They came out of nowhere, literally. No names whatsoever. -No 6.00 features were shown[People already caught Network Update.They obviously forgot to cover that] -Same old phrase "Beta","download will arrive shortly". -No iso's shown/tested. There is nothing legit about this video. Don't know wtf you're talking about.
All I'm wondering is that how such an obivious fake managed to get to qj.net, you can easily spot it as a fake by watching the upper left corner when he tries to update. It says "..rk update", system doesn't spell like systemrk ;)
I have 6.00 installed now and this is a definite fake. 1, network update. In 6.00 it says SYSTEM UPDATE from the time you click the icon to the time it finishes checking. 2, firmware settings. This is Bull***** as its still called SYSTEM SETTINGS in 6.00 3, anyone can do everything he does with a 6.00 version.txt. 4, there is no proof it can play any 5.55 games so there is still no proof its real. 5, The firmware has only been out for 1 day and its only been decrypted for a few hours so I very highly doubt there will be a CFW this soon.
How about we drop this and let it die? It has no right to be an article that is jumped to a million times just so that we can start flaming how this is a fake video, how it is so much crap and all that. Just ignore it, and flame the Youtube page, fill there inbox with spam, whatever.

Thanks for agreeing with me, this article should be just locked away or deleted or something, as it serves no purpose, and is NOT PROOF, of a new CFW, it is a hoax, and you will all find that out eventually.
when he is on the update there is no options like in 6.00, and if you watch it closely it says network update in the top left corner.
Read the Subject of this post. ALSO, I decided to enlighten the QJ Staff about this so that they can drop this like a bomb, and it will be official and all that, don't care if they post it, everyone knows it is fake now.

Could do with some lights in that room and jack up the volume on the PSP so ur not dubbing over with ur voice. Version.txt could be loaded from a flash1/2/3/4?? and no 5.55 games loaded via iso. PROVE ME WRONG, i dont want this to be a fake....

The guy could of just ran an iso from his PSP instead of switching PSP, u know just swap MS instead of a whole psp which then proves that recov menu is possibly fake

I also have OFW 6.0 and under system update it didnt even ask for the option to update via network or disk and the small psp icon under system setting on 6.0 looks a bit smaller.
The "features" don't interest me, I'll go with GEN when it comes out. Hopefully they've worked out the bugs that detained me from upgrading to theirs..Until then its still 5.00 for m33 ;)

OK, first of all, to the people who are saying the QJ Staff isn't smart by posting fake news, the name of the article is "Fake or Legit? PSP CFW 6.00 beta video", so QJ obviously knows it could be fake. It was just probably the lack of PSP News that made them post it up. Second of all, even the proof MAC-2 Beta isn't fake video still makes the video look fake. Network Settings on the top left corner, and all the names seem to be hex edited. Therefore, its a fake, and do not criticize QJ for posting it up. They know it could possible be fake.

You wanna stop these fake cfw's then resist filling these forum pages with comments about them because the fakers just want people talking about them.. most people can spot propaganda so use those skills and realise there's probably less than 20% chance this is real.

To mess around with PSP community... Picture some graduate kid straight out of uni joining Sony marketing team. Trying to impress his new boss he comes up with an idea to release some fakes to safeguard their upcoming PSP Go.
And very easy to install - since 6.00 is finally decrypted you just unpack the 6.00 Update and put the Eboot renamed to 600.PBP in the memorysticks root. Just search "Despertar del Cementerio" on google. There are LOADS of tutorials.

Maybe 0m3GA. I mean sure some things could be easily manipulated to easily be a fake, but with as many people leaving and joining the PSP scene, as many websites out there, SDK's available, guides, and source codes, it's made the PSP scene a hell of a lot easier that a 10 year old with some coding experience could make a homebrew app for PSP. Maybe not a full CFW, but it still could be possible. Either way I'm not jumping through hoops. I'm more leaned toward it being fake until some features turn up, but if they truly are new to the scene and it takes them some time to make the firmware then good for them, the jokes on us, but I do have to say that if another team (one of the other 4 billion teams out there) makes 6.0 firmware first, the joke is on them, because most people will not only go for the firmware that is the newest, but also a firmware that is developed by those that have experience and not just written by kids straight out of high school. No offense or anything team Mac, but you listed no background on your coding experience.
