Dark AleX releases CFW 3.71 M33-2, 1.50 Kernel Add-on v2 |

Hey! Dark AleX is back! Well, for now at least. He's updated he (supposedly) last two releases: the CFW 3.71 M33 and 1.50 Kernel Add-On. Both of them have been upgraded to a version two, with various bug fixes, additional features, and other modifications.Here's the changelog for M33-2:
- There was a bug that caused corruption when writing files of more than 32256 bytes using usb flash. The bug has been corrected, and now the implementation is as reliable as it was when it was based on 1.50 kernel. (tested with a full restauration of a dump)
- Psp Slim: a functionality to let the charge of battery when connecting a usb cable has been added. This feature is based on Noobz plugin code. By default is not enabled, you can enable it in recovery. Note that the charge of battery may be delayed some seconds since the moment you plug the cable.
- After installing this update, program at /PSP/GAME/UPDATE will always be executed on 3.71 kernel, despite configuration.
- VSHMenu: vshmenu will not be executed when onscreen keyboard is active, to avoid the lost of the select button function in the keyboard. An option to reset the psp has been added.
- VSH plugins are not longer executed anymore in recovery mode, that was the cause of pseudo-bricks.

No, 1.50 will still not work on the Slim.
Well I think, its not for slim this 1.50 addon since slime never was built for that! Well Incredible Dark_Ale>< !! Keep it UP! I thougth the 3.71 M33 was lame But no! Its still the best CFW ever made! Team VoiD I guess U guys wanted what u want... Cheer 4 Dark_Alex! 4ever!

Coming back to the homebrew scene I am amazed at how quickly he updated this. It's great news! I can't wait to buy a PSP slim!!!!!!!

Bug fix will somewhat help me this time because for some reason whenever my sister went to standby during GPSP playing Doz Fashion it would reset and I yelled at her not to hold the power switch :3

I think its safer to do everything in order from the first patch to the second.
how do you activate plugins on this?
thats what i thought but it says in readme his update is totaly independent of the 3.71 M33 version installed (1, 2, or future ones), and also independent of previous 1.50 kernel addon installed or not. So I'm not sure HELP!!!
In order to install the 1.50 addon you need to put the official sony 1.50 eboot renamed to 150.PBP in your memory stick ROOT. The readme doesn't say it so I thought I'd clear that up.

slims dont have IR funtion.
i install addon v2 without the first and it went fine.
drop the prx file into the SEplugins folder in the root of memory stick. Turn psp off completely, turn it back on while holding R trigger button. go down to plugins, click it and hit enable

never happened in 3.52 at all. Sometimes it just blacks out when exiting a game. If I pull out the MS and then reboot it is fine until next freeze. Don't see a lot of diff from v1 to v2.. it freezes less I guess...
Okay i ran the 1.50 v2 upgrade, it completed everything said DONE, and then restarted itself. Now how do I actually get the plugin to work? Another user suggested putting the .prx file in a new folder SEplugin, but which .prx file.
So I'm running a 1.50 psp but now theres games I want to play outside of my homebrew. After I drop this into the update folder I just run it or do I need to update to an official fw before? doesn't say in the readme.
I think there's a small bug somewhere: when not using No-UMD (and an UMD disc in the slot) and I start a CSO/ISO-file, for some reason it starts the UMD, not the CSO. With M33 No-UMD setting it works perfect.
Would this work on a TA-082 with firmware 2.82?
I've been playing lots of CPS2PSP lately. Thus, I didn't realize that my PSP is so screwed up... Apparently almost none of my homebrew works... DGen, SNES, GPSP won't work. I've tried almost everything: I definitely have the kernel installed (and I reinstalled with desperter cementerio version 3. TWICE.). Also, I ran under 1.50 mode with the game in the GAME folder. I ran it with the 1.50 with the game in the GAME150 folder. I ran the apps under 3.71 mode with the games in GAME, and finally I ran it under 3.71 mode with the game in the GAME150 folder...) So, what do I do?!!! Any help would be great.
Nope. I believe 2.82 is an official firmware, so it needs to be downgraded to 1.5 and then updated to 'full' firmware 3.71 M33 first (this is an update #2 for that). Someone correct me if I'm wrong about this.
i never did this before and i heard this is a great to use on the 1.50 psp which i got but will like to know how do i put this on my psp and can i go back to my 1.50 psp if i dont like this ? if somebody can e-mail me instruction on how to install it and to go back to 1.50 please y2e1210@yahoo.com thank you

You can downgrade it with Pandora's Battery, see the button link up on the page.
it says there that at least you have a 1.50cfw psp, how will i do that if i had no friends with CFW psps?
dude independent means that it needs NOTHING BUT THE 150 EBOOT TO INSTALL IT!! that means no 371 m33-1 is required nor is -2 you can use with either 1 and u dont need v1 of the 150 kernel program because v2 is like a whole nother program

Could someone please help me install this fw? I have a psp phat with fw 3.4 oe-a. I read the read me file included but i don't understand this phrase: "If you have 1.50 addon, make sure you have the kernel of game folder configured to 3.71, or the program will not even start." I also read in other posts that fw 3.52 m33 # 3/4 is needed. Is that true, and if so how do i install it cuz it doesn't explain how to on its read me. thnx in advance.
...I haven't upgraded since 3.40 OE-A either, and I haven't been up to date on PSP stuff since it was announced that team M33 was DAX. Help is appreciated.
