PlayStation Store access is just a few hours away for PSP owners running Dark AleX's custom PSP firmware on their Sony handhelds.

The man himself has said that a plugin that allows users to easily bypass the store check will be released tomorrow. This should be a big help to those who want to access the PlayStation Store but don't have the technical know-how.

Speaking of custom firmware, it also looks like the 5.00 M33-3 update should be along soon. The update will also include the store bypass plugin. Keep checking back here for more news.

Sounds like it will be a separate seplugin, but he has to release a m33-3 patch to make it compatible.

I got the manual bypass working, but I don't like having to disable the M33 Network Update. I wonder if that will be fixed...

Does this guy ever quit? He needs a damn vacation or he might end up like those sony guys. We really dont ever want that to happen. And I mean never. I think some of us might take him for granted. Just keep up the good work dark-alex.

I've been able to sign in to PSN and been able to download a few themes already. Not having a problem, and kudos for Sony for making the Wifi store so accessible and easy to use!

5.00m33 and I haven't had a single issue accessing the PSN Store and downloading stuff. I haven't tried in the last couple of few days, though... Did Sony put in some kind of check since then???

For those that are having problems accessing the store, what happens? Does it just boot you out to the XMB upon entering the store or do you just get an error when you try to download items? Hopefully it's not flagging your PSN ID and permanently banning you from the store... That'd be really sucky...

Sony released 5.01 yesterday and in order to access the PSN Store you need to have the most recent firmware (5.01). So that's what all the fuss is about and why DAX is releasing m33-3 soon.

I dont understand why Sony would put a check point for the PSP. I mean wouldnt they make more money because some people with CFW do but from PSN too?

I don't think it's a check point, but rather making sure that everyone's experience with the PSN Store is ideal.
