Thanks!!!!!

My SNES9X TYL works again!!!!
by iamshadow - 2009-09-06 09:25:12
well...

its way too slow, and is incompatible with many of my homebrew, LEDA doesnt work on it, and cheat searching with nitepr/coderpr takes 2 to 3 x longer than M33.... :-/
by iamshadow - 2009-09-06 09:26:44
forgot to add but is probably obvious...

so until all this is fixed i will be staying on M33
by lovehate - 2009-09-06 10:13:19
;)

Use fatsmod to speed up your memory sticks. Works great! LEDA will eventually work, if you need the new features it is worth going to. ie remoteplay, psn, etc Thanks for the update, nice work! can't wait for the next release dax is in deep slumber? Is he working with them, or is he them? restless minds...

it's great but...

There's no point upgrading to this just yet. It seems that games that require newer firmware are being fixed so that they can be played with 5.00M33-6. An example of this would be Soul Calibur BD.

translated?

"Changelog (translated): * Fixed bug that prevented the launch of an entire category whose homebrew kit despertar del cementerio." translated? by whom? can anyone properly translate that message? is there an psp news site that actually makes an effort and translates foreign language changelogs properly?
by Foolmonkey - 2009-09-06 13:48:59
Dude...

They use google translate. It's a PSP news site not the United Nations. Surely they're not gonna have a team of translators, nor is any other site. Don't be retarded.
by kupomogli - 2009-09-06 15:20:35
Fine for me

I use a second PSP that has official Sony firmware so I can play the new games. I actually purchase games so it's fine for me.
by PinCushion - 2009-09-06 16:37:38
Very well put, Foolmonkey

Its amazing how retarded some people are. If you speak french, you translate it. Otherwise, STFU.
by WilLoW :--) - 2009-09-06 18:48:08
I agree with yoshi314

They might not speak French, but at least they speak English, well enough to realize that the translation does not make sense at all. In that case, why even post it? Plus, given the international audience of QJ, I'm thinking it wouldn't be that hard for them to have it translated correctly...
by Serosis - 2009-09-06 19:08:10
...

You tell me how to get fatmsmod to work on it and maybe I'll switch. There's that and broken compatibility with some of my PSX games.
by GottZ - 2009-09-07 01:40:38
still M33

GEN is just a badly tweaked M33.
by JoPS3 - 2009-09-07 04:25:39
From the international audience...

I've read the original in French on pspgen.com and the meaning of the changelog is something like: they fixed a bug that prevents some category of homebrew to run properly (in my personal case some emulators don't run at all). The kit "Despertar del cementerio" (this is Spanish and means literally "awake from the grave") from Dark Alex is one of that homebrew that can't run without this patch or update. Sorry for my english but my mother language is portuguese.

SNES

does Mario RPG work on this? I tried and itd make my psp hot and itd freeze
by yoshi314 - 2009-09-07 11:15:20
thanks

@JoPS3. your english seems fine. and your translation makes a LOT more sense than this copycat announcement. thanks.

Hmm...

First off, NitePr needs to be used to cheat. Not being used to search for cheats. That takes a long time on any firmware. To speed this up, use a different device, like hmm, I don't know, use the program EVERY MAJOR CHEAT DEVELOPER USES: PS2DIS. Or if you wanna really search cheats on the psp itself, use a faster program....CoderPr, or MkUltra V9.

Small Update

A small update? Still good!
by Arliman - 2009-09-08 19:51:46
Hmm..

Interesting... what version of the emulator do you have? I am trying 0.4.2me and it doesn't work. Worked fine when I was using M33. Kinda weird because my gameboy advance emulator works.

GEN > M33

okay i have to say this. you guys crying about GEN is suckier than M33 are whiners. none of you are contributors to the scene than ive noticed (contributors dont start flaewars normally) and MY experience with GEN vs M33... while i love DA and all the headway hes made in this scene, he appears to have gotten to busy to keep up. id love to pick up where he left off but alas i am not that skilled nor do i have the time either. GEN has a CFW that works with PSN, M33 does NOT, whikle running M33 i could play rockband but if i put my psp (slim or phat) into sleep mode rockband errors out/freezes and the entire psp has to be reset, while running GEN, rockband works perfectly and as it should were it running from UMD. and how in bleeding hell can GEN be a cheap ripoff/hex edit of M33 when M33 is 5.00 and GEN is 5.50? i suggest people learn to count. STAY IN SCHOOL!
by jabbaface - 2009-09-13 15:28:00
@kupomogli

I buy games too but i still like having them save to my memory stick it's much more portable. So don't assume everyone is a pirate!
by jabbaface - 2009-09-13 15:36:29
"none of you are contributors to the scene than ive noticed"

Oh and you are? I've never heard of you! also The freezing for rockband is probably happening because you messed with something in flash or your firmware was flashed wrong. Also that game SUCKS!!!! And it can be a hex edit(not saying that it is) of m33 cause u can just change the pops and a few other things to add 5.50 stuff to it. Oh and That "STAY IN SCHOOL" phrase is just old and irrelevant.
by lexbian - 2009-09-18 13:18:06
@ jabbaface

i never claimed to be a contributor did i? no. i can't cade things for the PSP, its not my forte. i leave that to people more skilled than myself. im also not diminishing anyones efforts, DAX made great stuff, Gen made something that works also. and the freezing with rockband wasnt a one time error, i dont tinker with flash as i dont know wtf im doing (smart eh?) who cares if you like the game or not i was referring to how it runs on cfw not to how much you like it (moron), and it cant be a hex edit as it has features working that 5.00 m33 doesnt. my point is made.
