can some one help me on installing the plugging i don't understand what to do the Instructions only say this but i don't get it : copy seplugins to the root of the memory stick. Extract the following prx of a firmware: /kd/popsman.prx, /kd/pops.prx, /vsh/modules/libpspvmc.prx and /vsh/modules/pafmini.prx and copy them to /seplugins/popsloader/ with names like popsman3XX, pops3XX.prx, libpspvmc3XX.prx, pafmini3XX.prx, where XX is 40, 51, or 52. the farest i got was that i put the copy seplugins to the root of the memory stick

Improvement from 5.52 M3

All the issues with 3.52 M33 homebrew and wifi capabilities are fixed with this update. Haven't noticed any errors since this update. Just wish the Russians would test their own work before releasing it to the general public but I'm not complaining.... :-) The CFW scene is alive and well..thanks to the Russians!!!!

sure it would be nice for them to test it... but they can only test it so many different ways... i'm sure they don't have all the games... or even different versions of the PSP or the homebrew apps... there's ALOT to test... especially for a "non-profit" group (non-profit compared to selling you the firmware, etc). they can only do so much before they have to consider it "work."

(just extract the zip file to the root of the MS. execute the new eboot. Then go to Recovery and install the POP plugin.) Thank you Team M33 for all the good work! I belive Dark_Alex is proud of you!

I think your settings are out of whack. I changed my UMD settings to the Sony Iso loader and every game I have tried to use works without a UMD in the drive. Go to the recovery console and try it since thats what happened to me when I first installed Team M33's 3.52-1.

They actually mislabeled the file location in their readme. If they say the file is in kd then it's really in KN, and if they say module then it's actually in NODULE. had me stumped for a few minutes but I just looked around the flash0 drive and found them.

Lots of immature people on the Internet these days. Some for these kids need to look at their behavior on the net. Anyway, this update doesn't look like a real bug fix that would effect many users. Update if you want but don't expect massive improvements. The plugin goes inside a plugin folder in the root of your memory stick. Installing and updating doe snot wipe your homebrew for it only writes the update/install on to the flash0 memory. M33 is better then OE. The only reason bricks have come through is because people never took care and messed with Flash0. If you convert the 3.40 OE-A theme before installing it, you shouldn't have a problem. M33 Is better. But for Theme designers, 3.40 may be best. Hope this cleared up some stuff. Oh, thank you for the update but I'd rather not update to this release due to no serious issues being addressed.

even though update #2 does allow me to set chinese as the language... it doesn't give me the ability to input any chinese... i was looking forward to adding my chinese name... but i guess not. another bug... not sure if it is the custom fonts i am using, cxmb.prx itself, or the firmware... switching between chinese/japanese/korean (a few times) and then back english eventually loses the ENGLISH "keyboard" when trying to input a nickname. the only way i've cleared this up is by going into recovery, and disabling the CXMB for one bootup cycle. what i do know is... i'm having POPS issues (i know about the plugin that is included, but it's not working on my first attempt, and i'm to lazy to fidget with it more). and the keyboard didn't bug out on 3.51 (though i couldn't actually set it as chinese on 3.51 either...)

Last time I checked, Dark_AleX had realeased some CFW that was buggy, and applied patches to it. Since he quit before finishing 3.51 oe-a, what makes you think 3.40 oe-a doesn't have a bug, somewhere :P. But, you make a good point on flashing, I dislike flashing my psp, and I ***** a brick everytime I boot it up the first time after flashing it.

i downgraded my psp from 3.50 via the lumines downgrader.. i am running the sony 1.50 firmware now i think(i know its 1.50 but dont know if its OE)it just says 1.50 in the system settings.. to install this custom firmware do i just rename the eboot.pbp file to update.pbp and stick it in the update folder

hey i need a little help understanding something here. i owned a psp a very long time ago and i had fw 1.5 which i upgraded to dark alex 2.71 se b but im able to downgrade it. i moved to a new place n i thought i had lost my psp. well like almost a year past and i just recently i found my psp again. Well now i want to upgrade the psp to the latest cfw but im totally confused since i havent messed around with the psp for a while. Help with Timidity on cfw 3.52 m33

Does anyone know if or how to get Timidity (latest version) working on cfw 3.52 m33. If you dont know, timidity is a midi player that has been ported to the psp and thank god for it. But mine stoped working when I upgraded to 3.52 m33. Says that the game or file is corrupted. It did work on 3.51 m33-7. Any help would be apprieated. Thank you.

3.52 update

WHAT? How were you able to upgrade to 3.52 m33 in the first place. What firmware version were you using previously? Was it one of dark alex? And if so do you know how to use the recovery menu? If you were using one of dark alex custom firmwares, then your going to need a recovery folder in "x:\PSP\GAME\" named "RECOVERY". You should already have this folder. It contains an "EBOOT.PBP" file that launches the recovery process. All you have to provide is a custom firmware to recovery to. This file is usually named "DATA.DXAR" at least thats the one that I have. I got the data.dxar file from when I upgraded to custom firmware 3.40 oe-a, the upgrade maker made this file from combining 1.50 and 3.40 firmware files. You should have one from when you upgraded to one of dark alex custom firmwares, seeing that they all created one. Thats assume that you used dark alex custom firmware to begin with. If not then I don't know what to tell you. I never had a problem with dark alex firmwares and I never used the se firmware. So hopefully I was able to help. You could always use the recovery option in the recovery menu by booting up your psp from a hard reset (completely off) and holding the R button. Just make sure that you have a custom firmware to downgrade to (the data.dxar file).

possible future mods to custom firmware

if it is possible I would like to make a few suggestions for future updates. 1. The internet browser still uses the onboard memory to cache, if this can be altered to using the SD-Card, it would be much better. 2. Also I have my own personal pictures and videos on my PSP which I don't want to share with my friends, but would like to still let them play on my PSP with out me having to watch them. So if it was possible to Password protect folders, not individual files. I understand this would only be possible as long as the SD-card is in the PSP and not when placed in a PC. I think these two things would really help. Thanks
