Cheat Device for FTB

The guys over DRDesign Online releases the first ever illusion cheat device for SOCOM U.S. Navy Seals Fireteam Bravo. This one is sure to create havoc for it was six months in the making, they also plan to release three BETA versions.

Over the past months, three major updates had been done to the Illusion Cheat Device. At first, it only works on 1.5 PSPs. The developers didn't delve with the KXPloiting though 1.0 ones are just good to go, they added. Then Illusion started to work for some, it still did not for others unfortunately. They figured then, it was because of the different UMD versions and concluded also that it doesn't work with ISO at all.

After a little bit of thinking and tinkering, the team found the answer where else but at the back of the UMD disc itself. According to them: If you see a small #2 Illusion will work. If not...wait a few days until I make it compatible to the other versions. This device does work online.

Using this actually a moral debacle. On one hand you want to have every sort of advantage you can get your hands on, but on the other side of the coin lies the idea of fair play and honesty. We leave it upon you to make that call.

Does anyone know how to install?

I cop yit to my PSP in GAME and I start it on my FW 1.5.

Then it writes something like infinite health. Then I press HOME and close the HB-App. Now I start my DevHook and Socom, but the Cheat Device doesn't wotk. I don't have infinte health or sth. likethis...

What do I have to do?

I do not believe that QJ should be posting this.

Cheating versus the A.I. is one thing (still lame IMO) but ruining other peoples online experience is flat out messed up. People pay good money for the game (at least they should) and thier internet connection and now the game is going to be ruined.

I don't even like FTB (because of the controls) and I am still against this. I remember when the first SOCOM came out. I played it from day one and thoroughly enjoyed it until around christmas time when the online cheats started to get popular and the game was ruined.

I wouldn't care if people who cheated only played against each other but we all know that it doesn't work like that. Oh well, looks like online gaming will be as much a joke on the PSP as it is on the PS2. It's a sad day, in my opinion.

One should not have to pay for a new game in order to avoid cheaters. Not everyone can afford to buy the newest version of every game that is released.

Not that buying the latest games in the Socom series has done much good anyway. How many times has $ony/Zipper told us that the next version would have the glitches fixed? Not even the supposedly new maps for Socom 3 were fixed and they are charging people (many of whom already owned those maps on thier HDD's) for them.

I don't download ISO's but this B.S. by $ony and Zipper is the kind of garbage that could lead one to piracy. Why should I pay for a game that has a severely limited shelf life despite constant claims by the maker that it will be taken care of?

DNAS is a joke. $ony is a joke. Zipper is a joke. And for the first time in my experience I now have to add QJ to this list of jokesters (at least until they pull this article).

This all makes me sick.

With lots of help I found out what happened to those who did not work. Get your UMD disc and look on the back of it. If you see a small #2 Illusion will work. How exactly do you use this? I have a 1.5 psp, when i start the cheat app, a message plays then says stored to illusion cheat ram or something like that. Then i exit out using home button. Next i start up devhook v0.46. I run FW2.71 on 222 mhz. then it loads the XMB, then Socom FTB. Then i start IA or campaign and the cheats dont work. Anyone know how to help?

Its not illegal to hack a game. only tim eits illegal to hack ONLINE games is when the server is being run on game makers servers. these are being run on an individuals psp, right? i dont know. but its not illegal to hack any game unless its a servside hack.

The guy who done some LOGO work for this illusion team, or whatever, was a member of my hacking site. i discovered him and other guy was working on online hacking for FTB and i confronted him. he said he would never help release no such tool cuzz it would ruin FTB....yet hes doing it with this crap. what a *****in idiot.

Im all for game hacking. even multiplayer hacking. (monster hunter) but not online.

So all you noncheaters out there, dont be so quick to judge us code creators. i personally hate cheating...but i love game modifications. so come on over and learn howto create your own codes. you could even go as far as making a hack that doesnt allow hacks on your socom online room/server lol. as a matter of fact, i may look into that. using hacks to prevent hacks. hmmmmm i should get paid for this lol

Also, doesn't devhook basically clear out the RAM when loading a new firmware and if so then surley the only way this can even begin to work is of you don't use devhook but load using something like the MPH game loader. But the UK version of this game requires 2.6, so you need devhook to get it to run. So to sum up, i doubt this works (i certanly haven't got it to work) Finally, if i turns out i am looking in the right place on the UMD then i have a 17 on my disc so any hope for that? My UMD is the UK edition
