One of our users “N3M3515” (is l337 speak still cool?) has created a wiring diagram for the PSP's remote dongle that will let you use any wired headset/mic with SOCOM: Fire Team Bravo, or any other game that supports the Sony headset/mic. Note: Soldering involved 
 
“The reason I chose to do this was that my local game stores still did not have any official Sony headsets in and I got tired of waiting so I figured out where to solder the wires on the PSP's remote dongle so I could use my PC headset. You basically got (2) choices, find a 4-conductor 3.5mm plug (used with many camcorders) solder the headset's wires where they need to go and then just plug that into the PSP's remote. Or solder the headset's wires directly to the solder points on the 3.5mm jack and find a nice way to make it look stock. This has been tested by me and works. (played SOCOM FTB online and people could hear me talk).”
