Tannoy Ltd., A4T announce their PSP Sound System |
Ó
UK-based loudspeaker and public-address (PA) system manufacturer Tannoy Ltd. is happy to announce its latest venture into speaker technology for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). In a joint partnership with console accessory manufacturer A4T, Tannoy Ltd. is making plans to release its PSP Speaker System for the handheld in a few months. This release should also serve as a heads-up for gamers looking out for more ways to upgrade their PSP's sound system.
Going into detail, the 2-speaker system will be making use of SRS TruSurround sound technology to help improve in-game (or movie, for the guys with video files) dialogue sound clarity and bass response to provide for a serious surround sound experience - we imagine this will mix well with Burnout: Dominator's killer music tracks.
As for a brief backgrounder, A4T is well-known for its line-up of console-related accessories ranging from Nintendo DS and PSP bags, to Xbox 360 cooling fans. Tannoy Ltd., on the other hand, is famous, for building PA systems for the armed forces during World War II, and since then has become something of a household name - "tannoy" in colloquial British English means PA system. Going into more contemporary works, it's known for its sound systems mounted on sites such as the London Palladium Theatre and the Sydney Opera House. As A4T's Bill Stirling said regarding the partnership:
We have worked closely with Tannoy to ensure we are bringing to market
the best possible sound system to complement the PSP. Utilising
Tannoy's expertise and studio-based technology, we are confident that
you can now fully enjoy the audio experience whether in association
with Gameplay, Movies or Music.
Expect the Tannoy PSP Sound System to be released in the UK this May 2007.

lol
No more psp sound systems!!!!!!!!! lol people who post the number their post is suck. oh yeah, 2nd post.
Man, this is just retarded. All you have to do is buy a good headphone, preferably an IEM earbud. If you get a hi-end earbud, it will destroy this cheap-ass mini-speaker that is not even good for portable use. Would anyone in their right minds be using this when they are on a bus or somewhere outside?! This is like a cheap portable home audio system, which does not even compare to the sound quality of hi-end or even semi-hi-to-mid-end headphones.
