Sony accessories coming? Details on PS3 Headset, PSP GPS, more |
Ó
When Sony Computer Entertainment America was asked for a comment, the only reply was that "any information is speculation and rumor." Still, if this turns out to be true, the new accessories are pretty sweet and belongs on a lot of wish lists.
Some of the more notable things coming are a Skype Headset Kit and a GPS Unit for the PSP (the U.S. version of the Go!Explore feature in Europe?), and a Bluetooth Headset for the PlayStation 3 that supports voice commands (a hint of upcoming games?).
So would this level the playing field after Microsoft announced the price cut for the Xbox 360? Probably not, but it's still a plus. Here are the purported accessories coming in for the PSP and PlayStation 3:

I will really buy it just for the mute and easy charge base... beside looks cool
Is the GPS going to be a Slim only feature because the Phat doesn't have enough RAM? I really hope not, but given what Sony has been doing lately I wouldn't count it out. Anyone have any info about this or do we have to wait for Sony to drop the bomb on us?
I have a GPS and work just fine with my Phat PSP. I've used with MapThis, with incredible precision, using maps from googleMaps (I got the maps with GDLM). I tried GoExplorer too, but just with UK maps.
cheers
I love how people throw out this "OMG IS IT GOING TO BE FOR THE FAT PSP!?!?!?!?!?!?" When it's entirely way too soon for anybody to even know the answer.
Welcome to the world of technology, it progresses, new hardware comes in with new features, old hardware becomes obsolete.
i cant wait for the psp gps, im glad its on a umd, so ill be able to umddump it.
the GPS add on needs to be accompanied by some reliable way to attatch to the inside of the car. If they do that my PSP will become my car navigation and stereo.
making fun of the RROD on the headset with the red light on the mute button hahaha nice one Sony
Ahh more excuses to spend money i dont have to improve my game play experience only slightly.
what about the camera?any news on chotto
what a f*cking rip-off with the headset. Just use any bluetooth headset. And if you bought warhawk on blu-ray you already have one. (though it does look better than the crappy Jabra one they give u though)
