Replace your PSP analog stick |
Ó
Some third party manufacturers have released replacement analog sticks for the PSP to be released in Japan. Both Cyber Gadget (released on March 14) and Greenhouse have a few on offer, ranging in height, width and form.
Note, that the disassembly of the PSP is for expert users only, but those looking for something different and maybe something more comfortable, do yourself a favor and pick up one from an import store.

You need no diassembly for those. Just pull your current one off. :/
thats bullshiit they been out for aages
i already have replacement analog sticks that i bought in Britain and all you have to do is to pull your current one off. old news!
these are the ones i have
are there worth that
i got a few its crap, It gets too sticky and its hard to move on games which uses it
crap crap crap nothing beats the original
I like the ones on Cyber Garget, but it not in English. Did somebody mention they got some in the UK. If so where did you get it?
Yea, you dotn need to void ur warranty. Just pluck off the current analog nub with ur fingernail, and pop the new one on, done!
i only resorted to using one of these as my old one fell off the gay thing
i got mine at mobilefun.co.uk
There's a package of accessories (retails for around 15 to 20 bucks) available in the U.S. It's from Digital Labs. I've seen it at both Sam's Club and Best Buy. It includes a set of "power grips" that make the PSP feel more like a last-generation console controller (Though I never use mine, they seem to cut down on the number of times my hands fall asleep during extended play), a car adapter, a flip-down screen protecting visor, and two little replacement analog nubs, which, as a previous poster noted, do NOT require disassembly of the unit itself; You just pull the old nub off and put the new one on. The nubs in this package feel slightly more comfortable than the factory one to me, if not necessarily more functional.
whats new? it's crap like this that invites fake vecha in here
just pop your old ones off
have you guys tried the analog sticks that come in a pack of five with different heights and diameters? I use the one that is the same size as the standard nub, but is just rubber insteal of that slippery plastic. http://cgi.ebay.com/PSP-5-Enhance-Replacement-Analog-Stick-Sony-Playstation_W0QQitemZ8270052840QQcategoryZ91513QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I tried finding a link with the best description/pictures

i went from hardly ever playing my psp due to cramping problems and general hand malaise. the added depth of these caps makes the psp INFINITELY more playable for people with large hands. i bought a three pack for 5 bucks. definitely worth a try.
that ebay link is for a source in the uk, anyone who wants some in the US can find them here http://www.xboxrepairguide.com/pack-replacement-analogue-sticks-p-948.html
i dont like these gay ones a good one is made by naki and its imported from japan. gamestop in the us has them for 10 bucks in a 3 pack. i got them and its much better than the one that comes with the psp.
Although these make the PSP much more comfortable, they are a very bad idea. They twist and break the analog unit. I have already replaced my analog stick once, and at $30 a piece, i am not going to do something that would make me have to replace it again. If you look around, there are tons of reports of this happening all around the internet, so it is not just me. Use these at your own risk.
The only bad thing about the replacement analog stick i have (yay, I'm british!) Is that they come off easy once you take the original off. Bummer!
im british(thebest) you can buy these in any game or gamestation shop and beside y not just make ur own by pulling an old duelshock 2 pad apart and nicking the analog nub off has the same size clip to fit in i did this and still prefur the original one it might be miniscule in size but at least it dont fudge you analog stick
Also available at http://www.javoedge.com; their's are taller, but can easily be cut down with regular scissors. Like $6-7 USD for a package of six.
"Wahhh, these have been out for ages"...."boohoo this is old news" . Thought I might try being a kid again ;l)..LOL . Two words: NEWSSSSS SSITEEEEE. You know what news is right , sparky?? And as they say, old news is better than no news ...so put the tattayyy back in yo mouf jethro :P:!!!!
actuly its no news is good news. so whats the point in reporting old news if every one knows allready
why would you want to buy a dumb rubber cap that would take you 24 hours to put on and have it snap and why would you want to have a ugly grap ball on your psp that is 40 feet tall. why not get a new psp
