PSP Powerbank supplies much juice (and bulk) to PSP

The PSP Powerbank. Man, now I can use the PSP as a personal floatation device! - Image 1Gamebank.jp has this PSP Powerbank for sale. It's not the Power Bank 3, or the Powerbank Slim - it's an external power source that feeds power to the DC-in port of the PSP, and supplies 4,400 mAh of power (as opposed to the 1,800-2,200 mAh supplied by the official Sony rechargeable juice pack).

The only drawback we see to this accessory is that as it snuggles against the bottom edge of the PSP, it kinda doubles the handheld's surface area until it can be used as a small riot shield. Okay, that's exaggerating things a bit, but this product doesn't have the form factor the Power Bank 3, but at least it's not a block tethered to your PSP by a power cord like the Powerbank Slim.

Gamebank mentions that it can be "folded" so that it can be used as a stand. Optimized for movie viewing, perhaps.

..

is it bad if you accidentally swallow poop?
by - 2007-02-27 20:55:51
put simply no.....

hell no i would not use this cinder block charger not worth the extra weight it puts on your already obese psp unit i personaly find it uncomfortable to hold and play a psp even without the official sony adapter plugged in does anyone else get hand cramps from the PSP or think that the buttons are to close to the screen? (fingerprints and smudges on the side all the time)? what they really need to do is make a double power battery pack that retains the normal 1800,2200 mAh battery size aka the FAT looking X2 battery pack that requires a special battery cover cause its so big

What a load of complete...........

Why do they bother with crap like this? They are really trying hard to destroy the portability of the Psp, I wouldn't use that brick if it was given away for free!!

no.

yes i think it is lol
by - 2007-02-27 22:37:29

Worst idea. Takes the portable out of PLAYSTATION PORTABLE.
by - 2007-02-27 23:06:53

that is correct
by - 2007-02-28 00:37:13
there already is a double battery

and its the sime size... but 3600 mAh (i think)
by RaiderX - 2007-02-28 04:34:17
WAY HUGE

You're better off carrying a couple spare batteries in your pocket.

3600mAh Battery

I bought a 3600mAh INTERNAL battery on eBay for £5.90 and it works great - fully charged it has 10 hours 50 minutes left :D And no extra bulk like on the power brick

3600mah battery

I am not sure I would trust the quality of such cheap yet high capacity batteries like that. I am guessing that the type is Polymer and I have heard stories of those ones exploding.
