I think part of the reason this isn't coming to US soon is because its only a 1.3 mega pixle cam. Most Americans have at least a 3 mega pixle. So I'm betting thats the reason for it, its because most Americans would find it kinda cheesey.

there is an icon for the camera on the us version of the firmware. that means it IS coming to the us. i just dont know why it is not released for all countries (at the same time).

I dont have any stats or anything, but im willing to bet there are more individuals with a PSP in the states than the middle east... release it in the US.. more people will buy it, more money for SONY.... and then they can use that money to start mass producing the GPS and then release that everywhere, and hence.... MORE MONEY FOR SONY!!!! If they were smart, they would have released it already!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want the GPS , but any accesories for the pSp are a dream :)

I've been waiting for the camera since it was announced. It pisses me off that Japan got it before us, then Europe, and now the middle east, and there's still no announcement on when we will get ours? that really sucks. I mean come on man, the US is where the psp is making most of its money off of, why are we left out?

Funny thing is...

The chotto shot I have far outperforms my 3MP camera... though the 3MP isn't exactly top of the line it was easily 8x the cost of importing the chotto.

PS3 was too overpriced to be worth it at it's release if you ask me. Only now, with the release of the next to useless iPhone, has it become worth it. The iPhone is packed with features, yes, but seriously why are going to show it to people? Because you managed to get one. If you use all its features that's grand, but I bet it'd be easier on a laptop then on something as small as the iPhone.

Most europeans have 7.2 megapixel cameras or higher and japanese people I don't wanna even imagine (12.8?). US is way behind. I know this cause when I went to Europe we were the only one with a crappy 4.1 megapixel camera and all those europeans and chinese people with their high tech camaeras... Anyways this product targets the psp fanboys, everyone who's smart knows you can get a cellphone with 1.3 megapixel camera for 50 dollars without contract...

I'm from Pakistan but this is 100% worthless, 1.3 megapixels? This camera is like from the mid 90's... My camera which I bought 2 years ago is a 12.7 cybershot camera. Beleive me that this won't sell in the middle east, this is old crap 1.3 mp that noone would use...

USA - Don't feel bad, look at the UK's PSP site on the PSP. It's not been updated since January! All the demos (Yeah all 4 of them!) still require 3.02/3.03 firmware! And for the record, I have an 8MP camera, so I wont be getting one. Probably at least.

i actually just came back from isreal, and 2 days before i left, the BUG store ( sort of like eb games ) got the !go camera in stock. my cousains friend works there so i got a special price, 74 bucks, which is still kinda expensive... reg price was near 100 bucks ( 389 sheckles )

bought the chotto shot via an importer out of Los Angeles... have taken some wonderful pictures w/my PSP, and it's nice to have the accessory even if not used that often (handy when traveling as a backup cam)... surprised that YouTube and PSP fans haven't picked up on the utility of this little device... but i can certainly understand the frustration for some consumers... it's slightly maddening that Sony would have the Camera function menu in it's U.S. region PSPs, but not make the camera available on the market!
