With the launch of the PSP Go looming so close, those who will upgrade to the new handheld will have the option to get this PSP Go Converter, which will allow you to use your old PSP accessories with the PSP Go. Sony wouldn't want you to wind up with a bunch of unusable accessories, y'know, although they're not doing a thing about the unusable UMDs.

Further on the subject of unusable accessories, the move to upgrade to the PSP Go seems more and more like a really impractical idea. There's the cost of the handset, you won't be able to play your old PSP games on it, neither will you be able to use you old accessories. This PSP Go Converter may solve the problem, but you'd be paying US$ 20 to use accessories that work perfectly fine with your old PSP.

On a more positive note, if you're indeed going to get a PSP Go, paying US$ 20 to be able to use multiple accessories may sound cheaper instead of having to get multiple new ones for the Go, provided that you have a lot of the old PSP accessories that is. Still, there will be plenty of coughing up when you make the upgrade..

This converter, however, does take a lot out of the PSP Go's portability, not to mention looks. Not only will the PSP Go be significantly wider when wearing it, it'll also make your new toy look like a small dinner plate.

No word on release just yet.

Oh my.

That's looks really unpractical. I wonder how large that actually is, though.

Tsk Tsk

If only the PSP had some six axis thing going for it they could make it double as a steering wheel accessory.

PSP Plate! Belongs in my china cabnet...

So like with this horrendous add-on does this mean those back stabbers are finally going to release the crappy camera, and GPS in America, or atleast the west side of the USA? I dont want to order it offline because i dont want to.

Wait!

Just wait a month and some third party developer will make a better one, this thing reminds me of the old gameboy with magnifier, light, speakers and battery pack just sorta planted on like a big turd.
by psp2 - 2009-09-28 02:14:14
Haha lmao "like a big turd"

Yea i had that accessory. Like when i was 8! What is this year of the gameboy? No my handhelds are suppose to be sexy not bulky like back in the day! Now if this was back in the day i would be the coolest kid in the school with a psp go. Same with the nindendo DSi (takn picture of girls N sht)

Yanno something?

I actually kinda like it. If I were going to rush out and dump stupid amounts of money into a Go, I'd probably get it. IF.

OMG?!?

This is their idea for a converter for the EXTRA portable PSP Go? It makes it bigger and less portable than the PSP 1000! This will definitely cement the new device's status as the PSP Go-ing Bankrupt.
