PSP Batteries on Sale at Kmart

I really want to go to Kmart now and buy two batteries for my ailing PSP's! Both of my PSPs are currently experiencing old age syndrome, with dying batteries, loose analog stick components and so many nicks and smudges they look like antiques.

Every PSP owner knows that a happy PSP is a clean one with a fully charged, brand new battery. This sale is the perfect opportunity for me to show my PSP some love. I hope they are not sold out by the time I get there!

Thanks to Fat Wallet forums, a place to go if you're looking for deals, for being the skinflints they are and finding this unbelievable deal! Apparently, official Sony batteries are going for a mere $4 (that's right four dollars!) and other PSP accessories (car chargers ect.) are going for similar insanely low prices too.

I hate to sound like a Kmart commercial but this really is something. Some people have actually begun to speculate that the sale, in conjunction with other negative factors (like the failure of the UMD format) are signs pointing to a slow, but inevitable divestment of all things PSP in retaildom.

I hope the speculation asserting that stores like Kmart are slowly eliminating their stock of PSP related products due to slow sales, is absolutely wrong. Whatever the future may bring for the PSP in the retail market, this is a deal that cannot be missed.

I am going to my local Kmart so that I can see this for myself, and buy some batteries of course! I will report back on what I find. Tell us what happened when you went to your local Kmart.

The PSP is not suffering an early demise, the best buy store that i work at sold most of the original PSP battery stock for 7$ per battery. At the time I thought it was to make room for newer more powerful batteries, but i havent seen any yet.... p.s. we had a huge overstock of psp batteries and 32MB duos...

Went to my local Kmart on Addison St, Chicago and bought the last one. It was marked $9 but when I brought it to the cash register it was priced $4! :)

the local walmart here a few months ago were selling the psp battery for $6.

the psp seems to not be doing too good here, most of the accessories that came out with the psp have been marked down a lot.

like the original pouch, the accessories pouch, battery, battery charger, headphones. pretty much all of the official accessories, that no one is gonna pay the original outlandish price.

The packages say $32.00, but when I went to check the price, they came up as $4.00! At a grand total of $8.60 (including tax) it was pretty much a steal!

Stopped in by the store next to where I work. Their PSP section was pretty abysmal. The only accessories that they had were two battery chargers, three or four soft cases, two AC adapters and one Sandisk 128MB Pro Duo card. As for the consoles themselves, all they had was three core system packs. They had maybe a dozen different game titles with very few copies of each and about 20 UMD movie titles. Everything was priced at regular full price. Also, they were keeping all of the PSP stuff completely separate from the rest of the all the video game stuff. They had it in the display case with their cameras and portable DVD players which is on the other side of the wall from the rest of the electronics section.

I swear... The people that run K-Mart must be trying to run the place out of business. All the stores on the north side of Milwaukee here are gone, so it's a hike to go to any of the others down in the central or west sides of town.

My local k-mart shut down years ago and I have to go 45 minutes with GOOD traffic to get to the nearest one. Since I have ABSOLUTELY NO PLANS AT ALL TO GO OUT TO K-MART OR WALMART THIS WEEKEND!(CAPS) Because school is starting back in the areas where they are located AND it's going to be a madhouse out there. Since I have a DS and a PSP i've never been on a trip long enough where both of their batteries have run out to actually need an extra. Now if those car chargers are really selling for $3 as stated by an above poster then I may consider one of those if they are still in stock come Monday

Just so that you guys know. If you can't find this at your Kmart, check your local RadioShack. I picked up a couple of PSP accessories for it. Including a traveling charger that let's you charge your PSP twice at a time. FYI, Kmart is clearing out a lot of stuff not related to PSP so it speaks to what Kmart is doing and not to what the PSP is doing. A lot of the DS Lite accessories where on clearance as well.

As soon as I saw this I jumped in my store and drove to KMart. Luckily for me it is right up the street.

Anyway, i was able to snag the last 4 batteries that they had and the last car charger. The batteries were $4 each and the charger was $3. 90% off.... I got $190 worth of stuff for $19. Look for my cheap batteries on eBay! ;)

My kmart had several car chargers and 1 battery. The battery was marked at 41$ and the charger at 16$, but they only cost me 4$ and 3$ at the register. THANK YOU YAY!
