Powerwave FM Car Transmitter for PSP |
Ó
We have just received an email letting us know about a rather nifty PSP accessory. The accessory being an FM transmitter for your car which allows you to play any music files on your PSP through your car or home stereo system (as long as it has an FM receiver.) Or you could play your favorite game and hear it through the same audio system. The transmitter comes with a blue LCD screen and allows you to store up to 10 different FM stations to transmit from.
The release date was on October 15th, they are out of stock, and have this disclaimer: ?Product information, release date and pricing are subject to change - please contact us to verify any information,? which leads me to think it has not been released yet. The price is currently set at £19.17 (about $35 US.)
You can check it out for yourself [here].
Thanks for the heads up and email Kenny =)

This was available in Australia before the PSP launched, strangley enough.
one word!awesommmmm e!! transmit any audio to any sterio even including surround sound sterios
it's much better than the sound quality comming out of the psp's miniscual speakers
i'm getting one
looks cool.
And its useful too.
wow, neat little device. I just wish it was availible at a best buy type store =(
There are several devices of this type you can use for anything; Discman, walkman, mp3 player etc. They have them at Fry's Electronics. This device however is obivously tailored to the PSP.
NIFTY!!!! sleek and the perfect size. heck the psp is soon to be an all mico media/computing console.
IN YO FACE DS!!!!!!!
old news...
Hmm it does sound good but it has been available in Australia for a little while now...

nice. Ive been wanting a good FM transmitter for a while, and this is just the right one! its matches the sleekness of the PSP and it is at a good price!
This is definintely an accessory worth looking at and maybe purchasing! Finally a nice accessory!
Sorry if someone already asked this but, WILL IT WORK ON HOME STEREOS AND RADIOS??? Cuz if it would I would totally buy it, if not then I'll probrably still buy it anyways.
Uhh.. Does anyone else here besides me not find a good use for this at all? I could see if it was a reciever so I could listen to the radio on my psp but my car is equipped with a cd player that supports mp3 so why would I even need one of these? Can anyone verify if this little unit doubles as an fm reciever as well?
Even if your vehicles cd player doesn't support mp3 it's not too hard to burn any mp3s you might have to cd audio format and just play it in your vehicles cd player. Most vehicles today come with a cd player as standard. Kind of useless if you ask me.
Unless your in traffic and your able to override the radios of the people next to you with polka music =)
Hmm.. Maybe this little unit can be fun, I can see the endless possibilities for pranks on a friends car radio =P "Call this number right now and you could be our next $10,000 winner!! Muahahha..
Ok here is what is good with this thing you can now listen to your little psp and get a true surround sound experience. This will work with your Stereo at home and act as a remote to change the song where ever you go you will hear your music.
You could also make your own pranks as ceno beat me to it. You can also make your own radio show and even make a radio ad on the air for free, even make your own songs so you can play them on the air and see if people liked it. I do lots of pranks with my dell DJ in the car but you can't play it in the House some Ideas to think about.
You will allways have a GREAT TIME.
