how much did u get paid for that ad then? :/

» just a word of caution

It seems that there is a lot of fake cards floating around here, in Russia, and i guess even wider. They have nothing to do with 'high speed' written on 'em. Just like the USB 1.1 was also known as 'high speed', but the 2.0, which is much faster is 'full speed'. This card gave me about twice less speed then the card bundled in PSP Giga Pack.

I myself would first ask supplyer about moneyback gaurantee before bying this piece of plastic.

by BULL3TPR00F - 2006-08-23 10:54
» yay

this is the card that i have, and i love it. no problems whatsoever.

» Cheaper from ebay?

I know its a fake one 99% shure but at that price ^^

Well, i will see what and when i recive it

» ebay

yeah i got a real one off ebay for £36 and it registers 1.9gb and its high speed

oh yeah are qj that desperate for money

by DarkLink5607 - 2006-08-23 12:20
» don\'t get this!

get a sandisk memory stick instead, they\'re much better. I\'m not advertising for sandisk, i mainly don\'t want sony making money

their sticks are clearly inferior too ;)

Down with sony!

» I got my 2 off ebay too.

They come in post pretty quick as well. The two-tone colour's nice too.

by Wii60_Lover - 2006-08-23 12:38
» meh, Sony.....

The High Speed Memory Stick PRO Duo from Sony are sub-par. Regular Sandisk MSPD are just as fast, if not faster and are cheaper too. I've got a Sandisk Ultra II MSPD 4GB and it's FREAKN FAST. Cheap too (relatively).

» fake

I bought this exact card from shentec, it is a fake.

Pay the difference and go with a reputable site.

by Jumpin Jehosaphat - 2006-08-23 13:29
» its ok

i got my 2GB for $30 and it works just fine. The write speed isn't lightning fast but it isn't slow.

I also got a sandisk 1GB a while ago for $45 and that thing is unstoppable,

I recomend sandisk if speed is a concern. Still $45 is pretty good for 2GB of storage.

by bel z. bub - 2006-08-23 13:32
» good

this card is good.. even better then my sandisc ultra II.

by FreePlay - 2006-08-23 14:07
» Just FYI

Total capacity is the same as available capacity. The total capacity is never what they advertise. Ever.

by Hmm.. - 2006-08-23 14:20
» okay

yeah I've got that form Ebay and it's FAKE, but still works like charm and the capacitiy I think was 1.95 GB so I was happy, if you need a mem stick I would wait and buy a 4 GB they sre getting cheaper and have better value overall.

by Steak Tartare en Rut - 2006-08-23 14:25
» fake

Fake. Sony never shipped those officialy outside japan.

any 2GB MS from Sony you see abroad are 99% likely to be fakes.

» ebay

has a 4gig mem. pro duo for $115.00 whether fake or not i bought it and it works just fine.

» I thought $ONY put an end to this...

I mean I thought $ony told this company to stop making these. I thought they complied but I guess not. I personally would not buy an imitation stick just because of the fact I download so many iso's and Im starting to feel guilty so I feel like I have to spend some money.

A lot of these are fake!

by shUCh3n i know - 2006-08-23 21:55
» shUCh3n i know

shUCh3n i know that alot of them are fake because I research how to tell if they are fake or not. The problem is the only way u can see the tell tale signs are if you see it in person, and alot of these internet sites pictures of the product/fake product are generic (from the manufacturer). By the way I am number 24. My signature phrase shall be!!! "Can you taste the fruit"!

I had the high speed sony 2gb stick when i tfirst came out...56 minutes it took to put 1.6gb on it and 45 minutes to read off it. :( That is disgusting! Then i got the sandisk GAMING 2gb and that wrote the same data in 16 minutes and read in 10! I still dont understand why sony sticks are so slow.

by killraven - 2006-08-24 13:09
» pspupdates are retards

the posted a month back about beware of fakes and how to identify a fake card and then they advertise a fake card. how lame. anyways I have this card. it takes about 30 minutes to write a gig to it...but it plays fine....it is 100% a fake though. if you dont care about the slow write speed its a deal. But it aint a sony.

by anon - 2006-08-24 21:22
» what a crap post

the PSP doesnt take advantage of the high speed of these memory sticks, they will work at the same speed as a normal pro duos on the psp. The only advantage to be gained is when you use the mem stick in a card reader on ya PC. Would be good if people posting news knew something about the PSP.

by The Pierced Weirdo - 2006-08-25 04:48
» not fake

I ordered them and they check out fine. It's a Yahoo store. I've never had any problems with them before. Also you can buy a card adapter for $3.

by MacLeod - 2006-08-25 07:46
» @24

It is fake, I bought the exact same card and it was a fake - didn't even work actually, but had all the traits of a fake. I did link to deals from reputible stores in my earlier comment, but it seems the moderators modded my post.

Try NewEgg.com

» ordered...

if there fake I'll report them to PayPal and Yahoo... I'll let you know what there like when they arrive... btw: its not right to CON members of this site, Maybe QJ should check for its members first!

Sony always bundle ms pro duo cards with pro adapter,

just like other reliable vendors..

it works fine, but I'm anxious.. :S

by spudgun - 2006-08-29 23:59
