newegg has them for 106 thats with shipping
There's a Fry's Electronics right by my house ^^ This is an awesome deal.
"User area approx 3.66GB"
When are they going to stop this *****?
Meh, I don't think they want to waste the time to make it exactly 4.0 GB, but it's close enough :\
I just bought a sandisk 4GB from bhphotovideo.com for 104.95 after rebate. Sandisk MS Pro Duo's have faster transfer speeds, so I'll stick to Sandisk.
To #3:
The reason the actual space you get is less than advertised is because of the way disk space is seen by a computer. Companies market products like this using this method:
1000KB = 1MB
when in reality, the computer sees it like this:
1024KB=1MB
as disks increase in capacity, that difference becomes more and more apparent.
How is that ironic?
Someone should try looking into the european market for the bigger memsticks, it really sucks when the best prices you can get in stores around you is like 90 euros for a 2gb when it's much cheaper in the US/Japan. Importing is no option either due to those damned taxes and shipping fees. Damned economy here...:P
these MS work okay, but remember that the black non-highspeed sony sticks are real slow during transfers.
my fake sandisk 2GB is way faster than my genuine sony black 2GB....
just a warning. it works fine, but write speeds really slow, especially if lots of files i.e. devhook installation
Too bad im from holland.. (Europe)
Some1 got a site where they sell cheap ones, and ship worldwide?
i was worried i wasted some money getting it from bhp, but if the transfer rate on the sandisk is better then im glad i paid the extra $30.
Lol yeah..
But hey, if u find the right site you dont have Taxes
Like games, go to videogamesplus.ca!! Really cheap, fast delivery (for 5euro's).. And they put a sticker on ur item 'Toy, value 20 dollars'. So no taxes
site looks ok, but how much would 1 canadian dollar be in dollars/euros? (or vice versa) Oh yeah, anyone here from Holland know where I can find a playgear street, every store around here doesn't seel them anymore it seems...
1000 KB = 1MB
1024 KB = 1 MiB
MS and everyone else wrongfully state everything in megabytes (MB) when it should be mebibytes (MiB).
thats Bullsh*t they should make the memory stick 4.44GB so we get the full 4GB of space
some people need to look up the definition of ironic
4gb stick 88 quid on ebay
inc delivery
canmt beat that
satcoders.co.uk
^Didn't help much, can't find anything on that site. Would prefer not to buy from ebay either, with all the fakes flying around...
I dont really want it because of its slow speed and 3.6 gb.
Try adding it to your cart. Is it still 99.99?
It's up to $129.99 now. :(

I bought a 1GB stick from Fry's couple weeks ago for $40. I now feel like I've been ripped off. :(
4gb is acutually around 3.72 billion bytes so you are getting 80mb ripped off
I added it to my cart and it said 129.99 instead and I went to frys here in San Diego, the same card is 149.99.
i heard off my local game shop that the psp can only read up to 2 gig at the moment and that sony will eventually bring out a firmware update to allow more memory to be used with the psp like with the psp max hard drive wich is 4 gig.
is this true?
and i would like to know if the speed is dramaticly increased with the 4 gig memory stick due to the dramatic increase in loss of memory because i have a sony 1 gig memory stick with 945 mb free space and and slow write speed and my mates sandisk 1 gig memory stick has got 940 mb of free space and a much faster write speed than.
It's ironic that they only SHIP via GROUND.
Learn to read before implying that the writer is an idiot.
Again QJNET.
Stop it with the fake notice grabbing info!
Look at the site does the price say 99.99?
I DONT FRIGGIN THINK SO
Its 129.99 WITHOUT SHIPPING AND TAX.
if u have eyes READ
its $129.99 now.
has ship free
psp can read 4gb memory sticks with no firmware update, i got firm 1.50 and im using a sandisk 4.0 gig stick .
bits and bytes it is...
at the moment the best for memoy is the 4gb hard drive by datel for the price you get alot. as well as X2 battery n video converter . also usb cable for £101.99. i have the 4 gb memstick from sony too slow, too expensive, too, , and it dont work properly no more as my psp doesn't fully read it. i hope ths has helpe any one
what do u mean its not reading the memory off the 4 gigstick
clarify please
it just dont read it dumb *****

i fail to see the irony in paying $99 for a memory card and having to wait 2 weeks while they ship it. you may be trading time for money, but how is that in any way ironic?
It's ironic in that you have to wait 2 weeks for them to SHIP via GROUND.
Ironic- Poignantly contrary to what was expected or intended
So, you pay 99.00 gor a 4gig ms
You wait two weeks for it to arrive.
See how they're unrelated?
Capitalizing the words ship and ground does not prove the point of irony. If they do in some way to you, then elaborate.
It's ironic that the writer brought this to our attention to inform us of a good deal. Yet all we can focus on is his poor interpretation of the word ironic.
Do 4gb memory sticks work on 1.5
Sony sticks write too slow. Horribly slow. Wait and get a Sandisk at the same price and you'll be much happier. I hate my Sony 1gb stick, it's a slow P.O.S. But my Sandisk 2gb rocks.
SHIP via GROUND
SHIP being a water fearing vessel that only traverses on SEA.
So The fact that you would SHIP something via ground instead of TRUCK via GROUND, makes it ironice, cause its a sea vessel on land, sucks that i had to spell that out, because now its just not that funny anymore.
P.S. it had nothing to do with the price whatso ever.
The End
I got it now, HAHA.
I was agreeing with 40...up until a point
..crazy how we're developing our language.
the shipping is as slow as the stick
still not irony, that's just a play on words, or an oxymoron to be precise - two contrasting ideas in the same sentence.
two weeks ago i bought mine 2 gb for 100 euro. :@
The word ship here refers to the transportation of a package :p. It's not ironic that they transport your package via ground...
newegg 2gb is all you need, its cheap even when importing and less that a shop-bought 1gb.
you americans really do not get irony do you, if the sentence SHIP via GROUND is not ironic to you then stop trying to be smart...seriously just stop.
SHIP via GROUND meaning that the word ship is taken out of context and thus made to look like it is being either shipped via boat or airmail to give the ironic comment, now the fact that it has via Ground on it takes all meaning out of the word ship and so thus it would make sense to take out the word ship as the irony is that it is not actually being shipped by boat as some would see it, "shipped" meaning delivered by a guy in a van.
Now hoepfully you idiots will finally get it.
psp can only have upto 4gb memory card at the moment with no firmware upgrade sony will release an upgrade when the 8mb stick comeout as they wont work with the psp as it stands now.
Shipped via Ground is *NOT* irony. The word 'shipped' is being used in place of the word 'delivered' or 'mailed' or 'sent'. That's all, there is no irony intended at the website at all unless you have never had anything shipped to you. It just means delivered.
Stephen, you need to understand that other people live in this world (yes, from America) and we might speak the same language, but we certainly have different dialects and cultures and catchphrases and memes and alternate meanings for words. Shipped is the most common term for sending a package.
It all depends on how you look at it really. I've heard the crap that it's 'shipped on a ship oh a ship LOL'. It's just a term. You see, everybody here most likely has dealt with buying items before, so the term has no irony in it b/c we use the word interchangeably with 'sent' and 'mailed'.
IE, "When is the package arriving?"
"It was just shipped yesterday via USPS Media Mail. It'll take another few days."
"When is the package arriving?"
"It was just mailed yesterday via USPS Media Mail. It'll take another few days."
"When is the package arriving?"
"It was just sent yesterday via USPS Media Mail. It'll take another few days."
Relax! And forgive me for the incorrect sentence structure if there, my girlfriend is the english teacher, not me. ^_^
i called to see if this product was in stock, and sure enough they were out, so anybody who ordered this might want to call the company and find out what your real lead time is.... (2 weeks yeah right)
Read the Article , it does have to do with price , The last sentence in the article is "How ironic, the price you pay for a bargain."
52 and 46 are right it's just a play on words not irony.
why dont u people chatting ***** about irony and what it means just shut it coz if u haddnt noticed this isnt a f++king enciclopicia site , its a psp site
who gives a damn!! arguing about irony very trivial. where can i get a 4GB memory stick for cheap (in stock)?
isn't it ironic that as soon as tht dude mentions its ironic you all copy him you loners!
isn't it also 3.66 because of the 1024 that people don't think of plus there needs to be space for formatting isn't that right?
it sucks that it cant be exactly 4gb when u pay for 4gb they could just make stick a little bigger for formating then u can get the full 4gb out of it.
Correcto, #6 already explained it
@57 Why would you even post to observe them then you idiot.
Amazon.com currently have the 4GB Sandisk for $120.99 including shipping and tax.
oh dear #55 do you not get out much? or does flaming make you feel big and hard? perhaps you should pair off with #57, he's feeling lonely.
ps. it's encyclopedia
I just bought a 2GB memory stick on ebay for $30.50.
It has no logo on it so the write speed is probly going to suck but who cares.
