Griffin RoadDock straps Sony PSP to car seat |
Ó
As a former teacher of Pacific Northwest and United States History, I have always been awed - and humbled - by the stories suffered by those hearty folk who left almost everything behind to make the grueling 2,000 mile, six-month journey from St. Joseph, Missouri to Oregon's Willamette Valley. Traveling on foot or, occasionally aboard their comfortless "prairie schooners," they faced privations we cannot imagine...dust storms, impassable mountains, raging rivers, dysentery, cholera, hunger...I often wonder what they would think of their descendants, cruising the interstates in leather-padded, air-conditioned luxury inside oversized metal dinosaurs, riding comfortably on rubber tires and heavy-duty shocks atop the smooth asphalt...while the kids in the back whine "ARE WE THERE YET...?? I'M HUU-NGRY...!! I GOTTA GO TA THE BATHROOM...!!!"
What would those pioneer children ca. 1845 think? Whatever that might be, modern-day travelers will be extremely happy to have this sweet little device that allows the wee ones to attach their Sony PlayStation Portable to the back of a car seat.
Want to give your kids and other car passengers that airline TV-in-the-back-of-the-seat experience on long journeys? Thanks to Griffin Technology, you'll soon be able to do just that. The company will next month ship RoadDock, a rig for attaching a Sony PlayStation Portable to the back of a car seat.
Scheduled to ship next month, the $29.99 accessory provides a 2in-wide elasticated band to strap the dock to the seat. A docking unit for the PSP is fitted to the strap, allowing the the handheld console to be rotated through 360° and tilted for the best view. Unfortunately, the unit doesn't include a power connector, so you can't go far without an alternative power solution.

In YOUR face... first
'Unfortunately, the unit doesn't include a power connector so make sure there's a ready supply of batteries for the trek. ' Yes, and Unfortunately the PSP doesn't take batteries in that sense. =]
Comon, with PSPs amazing glare problems this thing would be useless unless it where used at night.
IT's fake folks :P eheheheheheheh
Hah, I doubt it would look this good. The glare problems the PSP has outside, is horrible.
What a stupidly dramatic build up to a boring update.
this is more gay than poster #1
i agree with post #7
why not just plug in headphones and hold the PSP with your hands.(novel idea,I'll sell the instructions for holding the PSP for 20 bucks.LOLOL)
...and YOU'RE WEIRD :-) ^_O
I agree that this is a waste of money due to glare issue with the PSP. Also, how safe is it for kids, get rear ended and put comes the PSP straight to your kids DOME (head). nice!!!
What's the point of this? lawl.
This is Stupid coz, while watching somethinf in ure car on ure PSP. The Sun will glaze at it and you will just try to sqint and squint until u can see it. sigh* pointless
#1 the glades #2 can't hear ***** in the car with psp's *****ed speakers
1. use an anti-glare screen protector 2. use the car's speakers
GHETTO
Im going to be going on holiday in a couple of months with my rents to france. As we are driving there, think this would be gr8 for me to watch films in the car with. Ive been on long trips with my psp on the train and it does get uncomfortable holding it after a while. This would be the perfect solution in the car! For sound issues... use headphones, and for power/battery issues I have already bought a car charger/usb charger/and usb to mini usb (all in one) for my psp for £4 off ebay! As for glare issues, we have visors that you can pull up over the window in our car so that doesn't affect me either. I personally will be considering getting one of these! Although when they come out i'll see if I can find one cheaper on ebay.
