GTA Kubrick SetSure, you have heard that GTA: Vice City Stories for the PSP, the latest in the ever-popular series by Rockstar Games, is coming soon, but have you heard about the limited edition figurines? If not, then you will be pleased to know that Rockstar Games, in conjunction with Medicom Toy Corporation, will release a limited set (only 3000) of Kubricks this fall 2006.

The line has been in development for two years now, and each figure (including Tommy Vercetti, Lance Vance, Ricardo Diaz, Candi Suxx, and Ken Rosenberg) has been lavishly detailed on their real-life game counterparts.

The sets will be sold exclusively through Toy Tokyo and Rockstar Games, and is available now for pre-order for US$34.99

They got to stop this ***** if they really want to market GTA to an adult crowd. How do you convince people that a game is intended for 18 year olds, when on the other hand you're releasing special edition lego clones. And don't give me that line that lego isn't just for kids, everyone associates lego with their childhood!

Close-minded fools.

What is with all the animosity from commentors? Have the big nasty corporates hurt you so badly? Aww, poor baby. I think these things are pretty cool, very reflective of the humour of GTA. I'd buy 'em! I'd love to see a survey of the age and background of most commentors on here as most of you seem to be young teenagers with too much time on their hands, as opposed to slightly older people with disposable income, the market for such things. These toys are retro and would be a cool little trinket to have sitting on an office desk, I imagine.

disposable income

I have some disposable income. but not for this crap. If you mean by disaposable income money to throw in the trash then ok because thats what you would be doing. I'll spend my disposable income on at least something fun. Even sitting on my desk coworkers would think WTF and their opinion of me would go down not even knowing these "legos" are game related.

Well I can't imagine they'd be that expensive, I know lots of people who'd gladly buy this sort of thing. Perhaps you've not worked in an environment where there's gamers present.

Hm

I bet that Rockstar is going to get sued for these. zOMG THESE MAKE ME WANT TO GO AND KILLZ PEOPLES!!!1!

Late

This news is as late as hell. I saw this a week ago. Also, they already released a "GTA 3" kubrick and did not get sued, so everyone can shut up now.

I saw these at Tower Records on a Clearance Rack...

Yeah

This looks kind of cool, but I would want something more detailed, something that would come out of Mcfarlane toys.

mcfarlane toys

yeah mcfarlane toys are incredible, they should make GTA toys.

YO!

I think you're uninformed post 15 but grown men get toys a lot usually for office displays, collectibles, and such. All the figures I ever bought are barely poseable so I can't really do much in terms of playing them anyway, but come on, who doesn't like busting out Legos and stuff every once in a while and playing with them? I just bought a Todd Mcfarlane figure of Akira and it looks really cool for display. Akira is an 80's movie by the way. This paragraph probably has errors but I'm not getting paid to be perfect. >_>

cool

These toys are pretty intresting, even if i not really like kubrik. But anyway, toy should check out Qee's (www.qeester.com) those are great.
