Activo Bluetooth Audio Headphone

The Japanese accessory manufacturer Try Electronics has announced the Activo Bluetooth audio headphone for general audio source devices with a 3.5mm audio jack such as the PSP.

This product uses the Bluetooth version 1.2 specification, using the 2.4GHz frequency band to avoid the interference other wireless devices around. The maximum communication distance is about 10M. The size and weight of the transmitter and the receiver are minimized for the convenience of use. You can also use any of your favorite headphones with a 3.5mm plug on the receiver. The volume output of the receiver can be adjusted for 12 levels. The built-in rechargeable battery can support 5 hours’ continuous use. You can charge the device with a enclosed USB cable on your PC.

The product is slated for November, 11th. The price is 13,800 JPY ($120 USD). There is no release plan in North America yet.

Bluetooth aye? Could you use the receiver and use another Bluetooth device with it... Hmm...

Why are these things so huge?? BT USB dongles are tiny... they should make something smaller.. Actually, Sony should have been smart enough to put BT in the PSP. Then again, they should be smart enough to do a whole lot of other things for the PSP.
