Ó

Here's the A4T Q4 line-up for Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, and DS. "A4T" stands for Accessories 4 Technology, and they have a 4Gamers line-up for the game consoles this Christmas shopping season.

Nintendo. Bill Stirling, A4T's sales and marketing director, is quite proud of their line of bags for the DS, DS Lite, and Wii. We here at QJ noticed their Nintendogs and Mario bags (not a bad choice, Mr. Stirling, because you've chosen titles that continue to be the best sellers for the DS).

There are also DS Lite Bundles in Black, White, and Pink (bundled with matching earphones, wriststraps, emergency charger, and whatnot). There's also a Crystal bundle at a fair price.

PSP.For the PSP, there are Travel Packs in Black, White, and Pink. There's also a high-quality PSP Home Theatre Systems as well as a PSP In Car Cinema System. Check the pictures below (the first three).

Xbox 360. The 4Gamers line up also has a cooling fan for the Xbox 360, and A4T reports that "the response and sales so far have been outstanding."

Lisa and Bart Simpson. There's also a licensed "Simpsons" range of video games accessories, like DS Lite Bundles with either Lisa or Bart, a Bart PSP Bundle, a Homer PS2 controller, and others.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - gift ideas are coming out of the woodwork.

# Help Us Choose Good AccessoriesGuest 2006-11-28 13:39
Hello. It would be great if those who have bought PSP accessories can post their opinions and experiences to help those that are looking to purchase PSP accessories for themselves or for others. As you already know, there are hundreds of accessories for the psp. For an example, take a look at the products here at Walmart: http://www.walmart.com/search/browse-ng.do?ic=12_0&ref=125866.220786+500524.4293938706&catNavId=487891

In particualar, I am interested in a PSP stand that may or may not have 1) speakers and 2) the ability to charge/give power to the PSP.

Two that are reviewed at Cnet are the Logitech PlayGear Amp (http://reviews.cnet.com/Logitech_PlayGear_Amp/4505-6467_7-31318615.html?tag=txt) with a rating of 7.5 (Very Good), though expensive and the other one is the SpectraVideo Logic3 Sound Grip for PSP (http://reviews.cnet.com/SpectraVideo_Logic3_Sound_Grip_for_PSP/4505-6467_7-31473747.html) with a rating of 6.6 (good), though inexpensive.

So, help us distinguish the junk from the good stuff.

# Nothing but PR.Guest 2006-11-28 17:04
This isn't a news story, nor is it a blog. It's a word-for-word reprint of a PR media release, with a one-liner "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas " tacked onto the end.

slow news day at QJ, huh?

For the SpectraVideo Logic3 Sound Grip for PSP (http://reviews.cnet.com/SpectraVideo_Logic3_Sound_Grip_for_PSP/4505-6467_7-31473747.html), I meant to say that it got a rating of 6.0 not 6.6, which is still in the Good category.

# When you get a PR / media release / news release...Guest 2006-11-30 04:42
When you get a PR / media release / news release, a responsible writer should probably not be too free with the paraphrasing. Yes, you would almost have to go word-for-word. That's just respect for the company's communication efforts, and that's just respect for your readers who should get the news as accurately as possible. What if instead of listing the colors I had just said "a bunch of colors" - what if instead of quoting the company's representative and using their words for the products I had just said whatever came to mind? It's hard to find that balance. Thanks for your comment though. :) It's always good to get feedback (even negative feedback - because it's always valuable to know what readers think). But know this: when we make an effort to make the news original, we get complaints ("can't you just give us the news without giving us your opinions"), but when we make an announcement and try not to be too original, we get complaints like yours ("it's a word-for-word reprint" - which, by the way, it isn't - it's an extended paraphrase). Finally, yeah, there's been some exciting bits of news, but it's a bit slow. Hehe. But we're not CNN - we're a gaming blog, and we can always fall back on interesting (if slightly off-topic) items. Besides, it's not like this PR item we dredged up from our press sources was boring - that is a nice Wii bag and those are cute Nintendog accessories and that really is a decent cooling fan and the PSP home theater system really does look like a nifty gift idea. :)
