I wonder what the write speeds are... i heard good and bad from lexar

Don't buy this one. I have a 2gb version and all plugins like CWCheat, Custom Firmware won't load in game and/or sometimes won't load in XMB. This is also mentioned in the readme.txt of Custom Firmware.
ive got the 4gb sandisk ultra, speeds are good, pics load faster

Lexar themselves claim that this is an super fast memory stick, but I'd like to hear some real world opinions.

that happens to me occasionally and i have a sandisk 2gb. just restart and it usually will work again
sorry but everyone knows that getting a Lexar is worse than getting a fake card. get Sandisk instead.

i live near a fry's and I work for Kroger which owns frys so i get a 10% discount plus the rebate or I could just syteal it like my freind used to do at frys. then he sold all the ***** he stole and got a *****load of Money!
i have 1gb lexar gaming edition and NO plugins work at all!

My lexar 4GB works fine; I've no complaints about compatibility or write speed, and I also got it at fry's/outpost.com
But holy ***** that's cheap for a 4GB. 4 gigs is practically all I need for my MP3 and ISO needs

They once had a bug in safari that didn't make the qj site work good, so i researched and had a look at what was making the problem, and then sent an email to the admin.
The next day or so they posted an article about qj respecting all webbrowsers and therefor optimized it for safari (or something like that). But where was my name? nowhere!
Never heard of Lexar and by the looks of the picture its similar to the fake ms that i bought a while back. Oh well i shouldn't knock it until i tried it.

4GB i bought it off ebay for around US $40 and it still installed my custom firmware and loads everything just fine. just pick one of those, they might be cheaper now.
ive got a 4GB and it is in no way enough for a decent selection of isos.
Doesn't run some things, is slow, if you buy one only use it for mp3s and videos, not homebrew and games. That's what I do. Everything else is on my Sony 2GB
QJ just doesn't like to give credit. It happens all the time. It's unfair, but there's no way to change it.
It's just how they do things.

I grabbed one of these at the Roseville Fry's this weekend (grand opening this weekend, it was effin packed!) cause I was in the area and it was a hell of a deal.
Small problem though. Homebrew and PS1 games will run fine, but PSP games won't off the memory stick (error 80020321). I found a fix - turning off the No UMD mode makes everything work, but then ya gotta have a UMD in the drive.

Umm, yes, it IS an MS problem. Prior to the 4GB Lexar I've used a 1GB and a 2GB Sandisk. No problems whatsoever with those, tested on 3 different PSPs that are running 3.40 OE-A with the No UMD option ON. Using the same isos that I've used on those two cards, on those same 3 PSPs with the 4GB Lexar I've had the trouble I mentioned. Turning No UMD OFF and inserting any UMD makes them work off the 4GB Lexar.
Depending on what you buy, not ALL are fake, but the ones with the "Great" price, usually are. You can tell as soon as you get it just by the packaging, but they do perform decently. The real deal isn't as easy to open though, these just pop open and you can slide the chip out.

It says that the 4GB model is "coming soon". Isn't that grounds to call this card a fake? I mean, the manufacturer doesn't even confirm that it even comes in 4GB! Why do Fry's have them?
Bought it, I can confirm its fully legit, took 2 days to come in the mail.
Don't diss fry's they've provided legit goods for years, and this is no exception. I notice about a 50% speed increase as well on read speeds from my Sandisk 1gb to this Platinum II Lexar 4gb. I like it

4 GB is at least, 10 CSO's... (At 400 MB each, but you can get some as low as 250 MB, which would be like 14 plus homebrew + music...)
That's not a memory stick problem *****bag. I have a SanDisk 2 GB and I have to do that too.
Not all ISO/CSO work with no-umd mode.

Hi, I wonder if I'm the only one experianceing this issue..
I just got a New Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo.. and I formatted it with my PSP.. and was shocked to discover that the PSP folder and the MP_ROOT folder was locked. I'm trying to find a work around to let me eather unlock these folders or erase them out right.. but so far no luck..
I think my chip is a "real" one.. but I did get a great price on it.. so it might not be.. anybody experiance something like this?
i just bought one off ebay for 22.00 w/shipping and i was woundering if i was going to get a fake for that price i got it yesterday and have been messing with it every since and all my folders open no problem very happy with it try moving to your desk top and try to open that way if they do copy back to removable ***** folder just a thought
ohh k.. i got a sandisk 4gb MS last week. so I went through the old routine putting ISO/CSO games in ISO folder for my psp. then when i went to my games under memory stick in XMB, i dont see any games in it. any suggestion how to fix this problem??

The 4gb MS works ok with music and video's but not with iso games??? i run 3.10OE-A firmware on my psp?

iso/cso okay but not psx games. Also, sometime showed a weird thing, such as; doesn't show any folder on psp, but after a while, it appear by itself.
I have 1Gb Sandisk/Sony and there are no problem at all with the same setting.
I ask Lexar, they said to ask sony about the compability.
(btw, on the Lexar web site it has the new ms pro duo with game compability, not the platinum II one)
I'm experiencing the same issues where my iso's that worked fine on my sony 2gig won't on the fry's lexar 4 gig... i'm returning it..

sir, I've downloaded a game from dream share. But when I tried installing it on my psp it says it's a corrupt data. I've a version 2.71. Do I need to downgrade my unit to 1.5 to be able to play that game?ty.
