The Merchant says: Come back anytime! - Image 1TheAceOfFire, the mind behind Autopopstation (here's the latest version), returns to submit... a couple of tips for QJ readers in the UK. See, he saw the Frys SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo deal, and the only sad part about it is that it was available on only one side of the Atlantic. Now because we are one big happy global PSP family, he decided to look up on some 4GB MemStick prices and deals, this time conveniently priced in pounds rather than dollars.

Okay, here's what he found, and if you're interested, click on the relevant link to go to the order page. Here's one deal for the SanDisk 4GB Stick from Scan.co.uk, selling for £ 64.69 excluding VAT, or £ 76.01 VAT-inclusive. The second find comes from MemoryCardZoo.co.uk, for £ 79.99, but the 4GB comes packaged with a MicroMate SD card reader, USB 2.0-compatible, and which works with the MS Pro Duo.

If you find the prices here to your liking, don't forget to give your props to TheAceOfFire for the tip!

lots of these places won't ship to UK

pj1115 said: >There are SO much cheaper ones around.... Yeah, but not in the UK. Places like Amazon.com, Frys.com and Buy.com won't ship to here, so we need some deals too.

@ td

$ followed by GBP is fine. It was the closest he could come to £ mate. Most North American keyboards don't carry the pound symbol. Cheers.

UK aswell

i don't think ur gunna beat £30.00 lol http://search.ebay.co.uk/4GB-Memory-Stick-PRO-Duo_W0QQfromZR8QQsascsZ2QQsbrbinZt

yeah but

it is most likely fake. Dont be stupid and buy electronics from hong kong. If you notice, UK sellers sell for £50 which seems much more realistic

Too bad...

That the Frys.com deal was never even a deal when it was posted on this site, as the item was on backorder and soon after the item was removed from their site... Too bad, I guess QJ should have noticed the "Call for Availability" link there in the picture they posted, and then clicked on it to see what was said ;) It said that the Frys.com would find a similar item (another, more expensive 4gb pro duo) that you could buy at their store.. Therefore, it was never even available to buy when posted...

WHAT CRACK IS THIS WRITER SMOKING

This is no deal. You can get these on ebay for about $70 each, brand new. I bought two of them (4gb sandisk) and they have been working like a charm. I'd wait to buy duo stick memory, however, as a new technologies have come out in flash memory that will push the prices substantial down. Another thing you need to know, is it only costs about $5 to manufacturer these things.

Avoid eBay fakes

Picstop.co.uk MyMemory.com Play.com Best 3 choices for UK buyers I wouldn't touch eBay with a barge pole when it comes to memory sticks. I reckon around 95% of cards on there are fakes
by - 2007-01-28 15:36:23
should've bought it

i bought a 2gb sony high speed memory stick pro duo from my local market for £20, it works great but they were selling the 4gb sony high speed memory pro duo for £45 and i was wondering if that was too expensive, if not i'll buy one on sunday

At Circuit City this week...

They have 4GB SanDisk MSPD for $99.99. I'm getting one :D
by - 2007-01-29 07:58:38
yeah right zzzz

You have absolutely NO factual backup of what you are saying... Go to ebay and read the replies from satisfied customers - like I say I bought an OFFICIAL sony 4GB stick and it was 30 quid plus 10 delivery. I have absolutely no doubt it's genuine and have read no reports on ebay of stuff from Hong Kong or the UK being 95% fake. Just cos u are so bloody paranoid and think everybody who sells stuff for a lot cheaper than the heavilly overpriced monopolising retailers is trying to rip you off, don't be such a llama and want everybody to hold your limp hand while you lose out and spend more than you need ;) Or maybe I was just one of the lucky 5% eh? rofl

ebay.co.uk

I bought one today from a REPUTABLE UK buyer for £35 (inc p+p). Looking at their feedback I have no doubt that the thing is genuine. Just seach 'Sandisk 4gb psp' in UK sellers and voila.
by - 2007-02-01 05:17:05
Ebay

Just E-Bay it and settle for a fake. Cost me £27 + Insurance. My 2 GB Fake has been perfect the whole time.
by - 2007-02-01 09:10:57
£££

honestly, you paranoid ebayers, you know ebay express? you can only sell on there if you have huge feedback, and i got a 4gb for £36 on next day delivery.
