Arkham City is probably the least-hyped triple-A title of the year and in fact, I'm still tossing up whether to nab this bad boy up or Battlefield 3...but this trailer may have just won me over.
Holy crap, I know it's just a week or so from release but Arkham City still looks amazing and more enjoyable than the first. I'm assuming you've been reading the other articles about how Arkham City is basically getting 10/10 on every review site in the galaxy (except CSAS24) and how the game is better than the first and you know what, I believe them, every single one.
I don't think it's a case of when GTA4 was released where every review site was a bit bias and then on release the game was a bit meh (in my opinion, of course) but Arkham City has the game mechanics already established from Asylum, a bigger cast list, which unlike Spiderman 3, isn't a bad thing, and finally, the biggest hook of them all, SANDBOX BATMAN.
Whilst a few people have said the game does have a fairly linear progression, I still bet going from mission to mission will never be a bore. It wasn't an issue in Arkham Asylum and I hope Rocksteady know the old MO, if it ain't broke...bet on the Batman
...I'm still getting Battlefield 3 first.
