Watch: Prototype 2 and The Art of Combat

Remember the original Prototype?...Yeah, things have changed.

Ever since Arkham Asylum and reading about how the game was initially a DDR type game but with fighting, I've been thinking how good the application of different game mechanics, would apply to different genre's and Prototype is no different here. The actual gameplay of the original worked extremely well, the new version has some slow motion and whilst the gameplay itself and pushing buttons is always different to watching footage, I'm intrigued.

Prototype 2 does look quite good and the enthusiasm from the developers actually make me feel as though the game willl be good. Developers aren't always good actors but they do know what they're talking about more than the usual PR guy. Doesn't mean the hype machine is any less greased. Anyway, the game drops on 24th of April and it looks like it might be some mad fun.
