Ninokuni Wrath of the White Witch is the highly anticipated but little known about Japanese game, hopefully getting an English release for all you Anime fans out there.

Wow, is all I have to say, and I don't mean the MMORPG. It looks absolutely fantastic. Not so sure about the gameplay, but I think Studio 4 degrees and Catherine proved  earlier this year that a good storyline, meh gameplay, great characters and some beautiful animation can go a long way.

For people who aren't familiar with Studio Ghibli, they are the Oscar winning and gigantic fanbase swarming Japanese animation studio responsible for such films as Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and My Nieghbour Totoro. Focusing on classic Japanese principles, a slick animation style, beautifully detailed characters and an overall sense of fun and innocence, the animation studio has been able to make films both profitable, enjoyable and beautifully made for over three decades.

I'm not a big anime fan, I think the last series I properly watched was Gantz and that was a little over half a decade ago, but I do love the occasional great film. I think this game's fanbase is really overseas as I hear more and more European sites reporting on the game and it's many visuals...again, not so much gameplay.

Also, this game is being developed by Level-5, who have hit home run after home run with the Professor Layton franchise.

If they manage to cobble together a battle system that isn't awful, this looks like it could possibly rival some of the greats of the Final Fantasy series during their heyday. Here's hoping.

graphically, this is reminiscent of a combo of blue dragon and eternal sonata with similar gameplay also somewhat reminds me of tales of vesperia. i desperately hope this is relased in the west.
