Remember that sick looking John Woo and Chow Yun Fat videogame project for PS3 and Xbox 360 called Stranglehold? Well it looks like IGN has snagged an actual gameplay trailer for the beast, and it looks stunning, just stunning. There are also 19 new screens of actual gameplay, all of which seem to be from the bar environment show in the trailer, but the included art shows just how diverse we can expect the environments to look. To view the trailer, follow the source link, and download the file labeled "Debut Gameplay Trailer".

You could just never come here again?

Do you have such a boring lonely life you must come here and insult people?

more crap..

the Anonymous Coward title is awesome, it insults people by default if a website announces something and its not on every single website within 5 minutes it doesnt make it old news, but then again its so friggin logical i shouldnt even be pointing out.

heh

"Chris can't do sh*t" Wow...you are a big boy...you can say "*****"

sigh...

who cares if its old news. The game looks cool, John Woo made it, so you know its gonna be great! I work at Gamestop so most of this news is old, im actually glad when. Websites post them(even if it is late) it gives me something to talk about.

eh

Although it is slightly old news... I still don't think that it looks "stunning"... To me, it looks like a current-gen game with some better textures, but lower (or same) polys. I'm basing that off the character's heads at the beginning of the video... However, I'm looking at that as a completed game, not as a game which may or may not have another 6 - 12 months worth of development to progress... That being said, it does look like a good start.

Just give time.

I sometimes think devs should not release unfinished work...because you always have a few people believing it looks horrible...or does not meet their expectations.... Then you have some people cry about them not showing them anything... It's a lose-lose situation...glad i'm not in the gaming industry...heh

Nah

Agree with AC 03:03AM. There's no "stunning" look of this game. Better texture, (slightly) better models, Max Payne- like action, bullet time,....are just "current". We've already had one like that, a game about Jet Li which I don't remember the name, and it's on the PS2. Of course I'm looking at that as a completed game too. PS: I really hope that the developper should remove the TGS trailer off this game. Chow Yun Fat just looks silly, blood thirsty, idiot in that trailer.

arg!

if you have ever seen "HARDBOILED" then you will think this looks like one of the coolest things since sliced-bread. if you havent then i can see why people may not care as much. but my god, go and watch that film. then you will see the incredible coolness-potential this game appears to offer. oh and btw.. for petes sake, will people stop saying MAX PAYNE around this game? max payne is the copoff. john woo pioneered this kind of shXt, and chow yun fat was at the wheel. also.. *again if you watch the woo films* you will know that it is not just 'max-payne type bullet time action'. did you lay on your back and slide down a stair-case banister with guns blazing then jump at the end and land on a wheeled cart that sent you plowing through a dining hall, roll underneath a table, kick a chair in a guy's face, catch his shotgun, jump backwards as the goon behind the bar starts unloading and plug him in the chest, then jump over and grab him and use his body as a sheild while you hurl a grenade over the bar and grab an electrical wire with your bare hands and bust through the window as the building explodes behind you? hm... all i remember doing in max payne was shoot-dodging in slow motion. we need to give this stuff the credit it deserves. i think Stranglehold will be a suprise to alot of gamers out there.
