Quantic Dream is the same company that produced the PS3 hit: Heavy Rain. A psychological thriller, Beyond Two Souls intertwines the lives…or perhaps the post lives of Aiden and Jodie Homes, played by actress Ellen Page from the film Juno. Filmed by motion capture technology, Beyond Two Souls unlike its predecessor Heavy Rain, will enable the user to control the precise movements of Jodie and Aiden for every single action from knocking over papers to picking up cups.
While most video games focus on real-time, Beyond Two Souls, focuses on real life, specifically across fifteen years of Jodie’s life. The story starts off with Jodie in police custody. Holy hell breaks loose after a SWAT team shows during her interrogation. With the help of Aiden, Jodie breaks out. Game-players will then be treated to intense moments of chaos and pandemonium as Jodie eludes law enforcement who are in relentless pursuit of her.
Much like Heavy Rain, game-players will be thrust into interactive situations with Jodie and Aiden, with their decisions impacting the outcome of the game. Beyond Two Souls will be making its way to the PS3 in 2013.
