Broken up betwewn high-flying acrobatics with your titular Rocketbird, taking to the skies and taking out enemies like a feather-filled dog fight. However, I will say they were not my favourite part of the game and if it wasn't in the title and at times, what made the game unique, I'd say they were supefluous, but not terrible.

Enemies could be a bit more varied, but they come and go with the territory and at least their fitting. Something could be said about the weaponry. While I admit one of my favourite in-game guns are often sub-machine guns, picking up a shotgun or even an AK in this game would have been interesting and I've often pondered how chickens would hold guns...also if there is a hidden chicken uprising to take over humans, you know there are more chickens than humans on this planet.
The game is a bit too serious at times, but I'm guessing the creative decisions to go as a political satire with chickens works better than a lot of chicken-gag based games. It's really just dark humour, but it deals with some serious bits. The style works really well with the minmal bits of dialogue which are delivered in clucked subtitles, also known as chicken-english...I nearly wrote Chicklish and I realised how almost racist that was.
There is often a bit of wasted potential, such as background objects could be interacted with and provide ammo and other stuff, or even just funny dialogue spouts or hidden information that could have adapted and added to the world. It's not bad and there's plenty on offer, but I thought a bit more humour and fun could have been sucked out of it.
I sometimes get entranced in looking at the background as our protagonist slowly moves through the world. The backgrounds are incredibly detailed with swinging palms, dark clouds and hidden rooms with vats of ooze and cloned chickens. It all adds to the atmosphere of the game; it gives you clues to the story and to what is really happening around you.
