Remember some news a while back about the Smithsonian American Art Museum presenting The Art Of Videogames, an exhibit celebrating the medium? Well the curator of the show, Chris Meslissinos has given us a nice little video looking at the art of videogames, how it truly fits the category and the ins and outs of defining videogames as art.

It’s a short video, and gives a very brief insight into things like Flower, Uncharted and Marble Madness as he explains videogame mechanics and interactions. It’s a very basic talk and while it doesn't provoke the mind too much, it gives a slight foresight into the tone of the exhibit.

The exhibit is a long one, as it opens on March 16^th and goes on all the way through to September 30^th, so even if you don’t live in the DC Metro area, you should probably try and work your schedule into visiting it at some point in the year.
