The Art Of Videogames Exhibit |

Remember some news a while back about the Smithsonian American Art Museum presenting The Art Of Videogames, an exhibit celebrating the medium? Well the curator of the show, Chris Meslissinos has given us a nice little video looking at the art of videogames, how it truly fits the category and the ins and outs of defining videogames as art.

It’s a short video, and gives a very brief insight into things like Flower, Uncharted and Marble Madness as he explains videogame mechanics and interactions. It’s a very basic talk and while it doesn't provoke the mind too much, it gives a slight foresight into the tone of the exhibit.
The exhibit is a long one, as it opens on March 16th and goes on all the way through to September 30th, so even if you don’t live in the DC Metro area, you should probably try and work your schedule into visiting it at some point in the year.
You can watch the video over at The Wall Street Journal.
