Yakuza creators starts up new studio |
Listed in: News Tags: binary domain, Sega, super monkey ball, Yakuza

Toshihiro Nagoshi has started up a new gaming studio in Japan as apart of Sega and will include heavyweights such as Masayoshi Kikushi, Daisuke Sato, Yojiro Ogawa and Masayoshi Yokoyama, all guys who have worked for Sega on games such as Sonic The Hedgehog, Space Channel 5 and Super Monkey Ball.
Not leaving his roots behind, the game studio will be named – Ryu ga Gotaku Studios - the Japanese title of Yakuza, clearly showing where they come from but hopefully not where they'll be going after the abysmal release of the last Yakuza game. Apparently, according to Sega, they are planning on working on projects such as the exciting Binary Domain and...oh...Yakuza Black Panther 2 for PSP...well, we'll see how that goes.
Whilst I've never been a fan of the Yakuza series, I do wish them the best of luck...especially if they make a Kinect Super Monkey Ball...just sayin'.
