Is Killzone 4 in the works for the PS4? According to one secret source, it is.
An unnamed source in the video game industry has told Videogamer that Killzone 4 is in fact in development at Guerrilla Games. The source also said that the game will be released for Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4 console before the year is over. You might even get to catch a glimpse at Killzone 4 on February 20th. That’s when Sony will likely reveal the PS4 at a special event in
Killzone: Mercenary, which hit shelves for the PlayStation Vita in September, was the franchise’s latest release. Killzone 3 was released for the PS3 back in February of 2011, so it would be over two years between the launch of the game and its rumored sequel.
This is not the first time that Killzone 4 has been rumored to be in development at Guerrilla Games. A November 2011 report said that Steven Ter Heide, Killzone 2 and Killzone 3’s senior producer, would be the game director for the franchise’s fourth core installment. There’s still no confirmation on this, but we will keep you up to date as more information comes out about the game.
