Will Competition Delay GTA V's Release? |

Will Grand Theft Auto V’s supposed spring 2013 release get pushed back due to competing games set to ship around the same time? It’s possible, but not very likely.
You could call Grand Theft Auto V the most anticipated release for the upcoming year, which has many gamers anxiously waiting for spring to come around. According to a recent article posted on Gamepur, however, it may take longer for GTA V to hit shelves. What could be the cause of the delay? Competitors.
BioShock Infinite is supposed to ship on March 26, 2013, and if Amazon’s leaked listed of GTA V was correct, Rockstar’s next release in the series will come on the same date. Take-Two Interactive is handling the distribution of both titles, so they may not want to release them at the same time.
Gamepur’s article also notes that March 2013 will feature other releases such as Fuse, God of War: Ascension, and Tomb Raider, all of which could eat into each other’s sales.
Of course, the Grand Theft Auto series has such a following that these other releases probably should be scared of GTA V, and not vice versa. It is possible, however, that GTA V’s release might get moved around a bit to give it more of a spotlight, not that it needs any help with that.
Do you think GTA V will be delayed to a less busy month, or does it not matter?
