Sony Computer Entertainment's PR arm, Taku Nishijima, posted on Twitter that the game has just hit the one million mark for shipped copies worldwide.
Included in the figure are all of the titles in the WKC franchise to date: WKC EX Edition, WKC: International Edition and the PSP WKC Origins title. Of course, we expect this number to go up some more, what with international release of WKC 2.

The first White Knight Chroniciles title came out back in 2008 in Japan, exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Western fans had to wait a long two years before it finally got localized and released in February 2010.
In that same year, Japan got another headstart on the franchise, with the release of the game's sequel in July. Fortunately, the West is playing catch up and won't have to wait for too long this time around, as WKC 2's already been dated for a May 2011 release in Europe. North America's also said to get it this year, although with no specific date yet.
Congratulations to the whole White Knight Chronicles team!
